psychologist used to identify homosexuality as a form of immaturity in which the homosexual person gets psychologically locked into the childhood phase of development in which girl's think boys are yucky and boys feel that way about girls. this is usually a short lived phase and little attention is given to it. although i don't believe this is the only factor in the homosexual mindset i believe it to be a primary one and one that should not have been subsequently dismissed....esp since it was dismissed due to it's unpopularity socially and not because it lacked merit. i don't have the statistics but prior to the gay rights movement the incidence of pedophyllia was significantly higher among homosexuals which lends even more credibility to the supposition that homosexuals lack the desired level of emotional maturity. there is currently a movement to establish pedophylle rights in the same way that gay rights advanced. they are openly stating that they are pedophylles and that they have the right to be so. we are faced with a tremendous threat to the safety of our children if this trend continues. anyone that can't see the negative consequences of this behavior is really deceived. it is totally anti-survival of the species. it is not only a threat to humanity in this realm but it is a threat to the eternal condition of mankind as well.
Well seems like pedofiles are being excepted because CPS "completely stupid people" or "child pedofile services" does anyone really now why Himmler doctrine of "the spring of life " has been completely excepted be America people ? Does anyone now the meaning of CPS?
in my state legal age is 16. so a 16 year old can be with anyone 16+. however 16 year old has sex with a 15 year old its a crime. if a 13 year old has sex with a 12 year old. its a crime. but I agree immorality is immorality no matter

Yeah its called sex wont be a taboo topic in my house. if i have a daughter who has a question about I tell her straight up the answer. Why christians are so scared about teens learning about sex ill never know. Maybe instead of worrying about if they learn of sex, just focus on teaching them to respect themselves and their bodies.
the subject wasn't discussion between parents and kids about sex. it was the govt promoting deviancy on a (tax-payer funded) HHS website. you intimated it was an okay alternative.
etc. etc. was how it went.

I would go further and say age is not as much an issue as marital status from a scriptural perspective. And I think when people add "liberal movement" or "conservative movement" to support their idea, it takes away some of the strength of their position.
As others have stated, the law is the law whether one agrees with it or not. I think parents, Christian or not, should make sure their kids are aware of the laws of their state. When I was in high school I had a younger girlfriend who tried to take advantage of my innocence, seriously.
I suspect I could have gotten locked up if I had succumbed. And my girlfriend's mom would have made sure I was locked up. But I never knew it would have been illegal. Thank God I dodged that bullet.

There is some credence to the theory of emotional immaturity when you look at gay rights activists at work. Their arguments are typically saturated with identity and entitlement, but not very much beyond this except for on rare occasions. I have had to deal with these activists before on a personal level. The emotional maturity is what stood out, but then that might be owed more to the fact they were political activists than the fact they were homosexuals.
Now the issue I see with this theory has to do with the crowds gay men typically run in, or at least what our culture has led us to believe they run in. Gay men specifically.
When I see a man who is openly homosexual, he is rarely afraid of women. He doesn't find them disgusting either. Instead he desires to emulate them. There is so much emphasis on feminine beauty on their part and, let's face it, they are known to be quite skilled in that department to the point they are becoming a professional class in fashion, design, etc.
If homosexuality stems from emotional immaturity, then surely the aversion of the female gender is not related to it. At least not in the stages of life that extend past childhood.
Perhaps it is different among American gay men, but that is doubtful.
A person needs to learn and know their own limitations. This was taking away anothers free will, and teaching them wrongly for this other person a minor is not of age to amke their own free choices as of yet. This what I believe God is very angry over is others taking away others free will. I myself abhor this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And rightfully so
Yes because having information out there for teens who choose to go against their parents wishes and have sex anyways, is better than having them go through with it via trial and error. Would i want my daughter to have sex at 13? No. If she decided to behind my back and against my rules would I at least want her to know about birth control and condoms and such? Yes, absolutely.
Lets be honest here...they were both high school students. I had plenty of free will over deciding whether or not I had sex in high school just like this girl id. Its not like she was forced by a teacher or an actual ault. Trust me being 18 in no way makes you an actual adult maturity wise, youre still a teen.
trial and error (if they haven't had weirdo lesbian and bestiality ideas put into their heads by the All-Powerful Govt ppl have been trained to look to for expert information and validation) usually means boys and girls. getting into trouble at times - YA.
even early same sex stuff is within normal confusion when very young.
you KNOW what i am talking about. usually that trial and error and confusion gets straightened out IN THE NORMAL COURSE OF LIVING, dating and social norms (unless society says anal sex is normal).
and people settle into NATURAL RELATIONS.
if they are encouraged to explore perversion - THEY WILL.
i don't want award-winning NYT touted academic perverts (like Peter Singer, or the late Margaret Sanger) setting the bar for what is okay to experiment with.

Yes because by varying types of sex i was clearly referencing interspecies encounters and not replying to your anal sex is wrong thing. By varying I meant things that could occur between a husband and wife, which the Bible does not speak on. Caught me. Anyways, as far as virginity I think if someone wants to be/claims to be a Christian then yes, waiting is the right thing to do. If someone isn't a Christian well its up to them to decide their own moral code that they choose to live by which hopefully at the very least follows the laws of the land.

I agree on age not being an issue scripturally as long as sex is between a married male/female. When humans become physically mature and are able to procreate that's a hint by the designer that they are ready to procreate... and a pretty obvious one. Our society tells people, "you are not an "adult" until this ____ age." That is a culturally defined rule. Back in the day, you didn't need to get through pre-cal to be an "adult". You were apprenticed to someone at a young age or you learned your father's craft, and by the time you were a teenager you would be skilled at a trade. I think in Rome it was common for women to marry shortly after puberty. It's our society that has placed those laws in effect, and they have to be obeyed because... it is what it is. I could go on, but it would just be a long rant about how America is way off track... I'll sum it up with this on our society (I know I'm on tangent):
Define CAPITAL - the wealth, whether in money or property, owned or employed in business by an individual, firm, corporation, etc.

As far as the "liberal movement" comment, I'd have to disagree with you. Keep in mind, this doesn't refer to any political affiliation. The definition of Liberal according to Google is: Open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.
Scriptural values are unchanging because they are true, and truth by definition cannot change. I think Elizabeth was just talking about how moral relativism is becoming a prominent way of life in our culture, and I agree with her that it is sad.

I like a great deal of what you said. But the "liberal movement" label is debatable. People usually throw that out as a political statement. And perhaps that was not Elizabeth's intention, but it usually is the purpose when some one is using it.
And while the definition you used might sound bad from the viewpoint of some, there are many different interpretations available. People usually interpret words or phrases to suit their purpose. For instance, when Jesus had very different ideas than the traditional ideas of the religious leaders of His time, one could suggest His ideas were liberal in the views of the traditional religious leaders.
Scriptural values and truth are unchanging, but people's interpretations are constantly changing. I realize there are those who think they understand the truth and want to speak for everybody. But they can just keep thinking that. That's their choice. I'll let the Spirit guide me in that regard.
The bottom line is, everybody has the right to voice their opinion. And we can disagree with each other. It's just been my experience that those who try to broadly judge the principles of others tend to lean heavily toward self-righteousness. Obviously, only God knows our true intentions.
One, the bible speaks directly to man on man sexual activities to extend that to heterosexual relationships as a banned activity is a personal choice/interpretation. As far as would i want to marry a virgin? at this point in my life no. I lost mine back in sophomore year of high school years before I even started going to church. and at this point in my life, ive ecepted most women of the age range i like arent virgins either. Besides i want someone with some experience due to mostly my on various opinions on sex and activities in marriage.
