Proof that Donald Trump is trying to undermine the Democratic party.

Newest and probably the last major opinion polling on the NYC race until the elections days away. The polls seem to show our earlier prediction that Mamdani would re-tighten his game and cruise to victory seems to be corroborated by these polls as Mamdani's lead bounces back and indicates he could even win by a 25 point obliteration and smash expectations by even crossing the 50% overall vote total, a worthy sidequest indeed. Sliwa actually finally reached the 20% mark indicating much of the turnout might be for him, but it might be a little too late and all that really does is equalize him to Cuomo. Cuomo already begins crying about Sliwa being a spoiler but I mean Sliwa was the GOP candidate, Cuomo actually is the spoiler candidate because he already got destroyed by Mamdani in the primary. Sp it is that Mamdani's victory looms large with an air of inevitability over the NYC mayor race, but we'll just have to find out Tuesday-Wednesday for the definitive answer, gonna be hype.

Here we go, a little pre-election fun and last minute analyses. I'll stand on my grim bet that Mamdani will win, and for fun I'll even up the ante a lil bit and I'll wager you @ZNP 1 award emoji that he reaches the 50% mark, a little sidebet kicker for you since unfortunately I don't think Sliwa will underdog this though I wish he did. Also on the radar is the Virginia and NJ Governor races which are closer and more competitive despite being located in the metropolitan deep blue mid-Atlantic techno-dystopian doomscape territory.

fair enough, if he wins with 50% or higher I owe you one winner emoji and I'll even throw in one Loser emoji for NYC

Let's do a social experiment, would 50% of NYers vote for a liar, fraud and crook if he promises to make everything free?

Lol since that applies to Cuomo as much as it does Mamdani then I mean we'll have to combine their final totals which I suspect will be like closer to 70% would do that lol.

Is Cuomo promising to make everything free?

Is Cuomo promising to make everything free?

Not this time around but he's still basically leaning into that idea, build new housing, subsidizing alien invaders, basically blow money on woke crap, etc. Cuomo simply after the debates has pivoted slightly to some of Sliwa's ideas like raising up the amount of police and such to try to just give lipservice to eat at his base. Mindful Cuomo is sly enough to know it's not actually free and like he showed in the debates he thinks he will fund this by finding a way to finesse Trump someway somehow in his dreams to give him free federal funds.

Interestingly a panel on FOX actually covers this dynamic pretty well.

This then feeds back into the larger titled topic of the democrat party and their internal power struggle and identity crises.

Texas governor says that if New Yorkers move to Texas if Mandani wins, he’ll tariff them 100%.
Love it.

I heard that Austin is too late to save tho from all the west coast liberals.

Well at least Abbott admits to it, "force my citizens to submit to my almighty power, have them bow before my feet". lol

He is right and he’s trying to preserve your culture.
One of the things that New Yorkers are going to ruin (besides many others) is your Texas accent.

Yep it's important to preserve our Spanish accent and culture here in Texas, gracias

Bro, in another post you said “hay”.
That ain’t Spanish.

In Texas Hispanic is the largest ethnic group so i'm bilingual by culture. The Spanish settled in Texas in the early 1500's and then in the early 1800's Texas was part of Mexico and let English settle in Texas from the new United States so Hispanics have been in Texas around 500 years and the English since 1822 so 203 years ago. There are several accents in Texas but Hispanic,TexMex ect. is the largest population because of it's length of history. In my genealogy we can trace our ancestors back to 1560 in Texas with baptismal records. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Three_Hundred

Yeah I’m very similar to you in terms of genealogy expect we differ in thinking.

If we use this methodology we can say we all came from Africa but I gave a realistic answer here: https://christianchat.com/miscellaneous/why-are-jews-so-wealthy-in-the-usa.217001/#post-5396876

Short version is: just because your parents and grandparents came from Mexico, doesn’t mean you’re Mexican.
You’re born and raised in USA.
It’s the same thing for my kids. They’re born and raised in USA so they have nothing in common culturally with Europe

It makes more sense to explain it this way in my ancestry anyway.
My family was first found in the Americas in New Spain in what is now called the town of San Pedro Texas https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Pedro,_Texas San Pedro Texas was part of New Spain at that time https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Spain and afterward it was part of Mexico(see location of San-Pedro on map of Mexico) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_War_of_Independence when Mexico won it's independence from Spain. Then San Pedro was in the Republic of Texas after the Texas Revolution but in the contested area(see map) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_Texas until after the 1848 agreement after the Mexican American war with the United States. So my family on my mothers side always lived in San Pedro(until modern times) but San Pedro was in four different nations across history New Spain,Mexico,Republic of Texas and then the United States. Complicated I know but it's possible for a family to live in four different nations and never move off the same ranch in the same town.
