I have been hearing some songs on so-called Pop and Country stations that sound almost identical to music sold under Rock/Metal since the 1990s. Why do you believe they are playing some music on the Pop and Country stations that sounds so identical to the Rock/Metal scene of the 90s to today?

Because metal is better than pop and country? 😁

I think it could be that the best Modern Rock/Metal is copied so much lately because it has a more dynamic get in your head full sound.
Ask yourself what is the message that is coming at you. What are you filling your mind with? That applies to all music, not just rock/metal. Many country songs are depressing. "My wife left me for my best friend yeah yeah. She took my truck and my dawg. Oh how I miss my dawg....."

I worked in a place where the radio was on all the time. Each manager had a different preference. Me, I preferred no worldly music. But the country station.......... I'm surprised the staff did not go home and put an end to themselves.

I remember over twenty years ago at a place I worked, the people that were saying people shouldn't be listening to music with bad lyrics didn't seem to notice how bad the lyrics were in pop and country they were listening to too.
