I love Proverbs. Such a variety of wisdom and even humor (i.e., the nagging wife verses haha). My older sister sent me this one this morning via email and I posted it as my Facebook status. She knows I'm a workaholic, so she sent me this one in nagging love! :)

Proverbs 23:4-5
Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.

i have many, but one of my favorite is this one because it helps me to appreciate the moment no matter what im living:

Proverbs 20:13 "Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread"
 
I grew up in children's sunday school and every Sunday they let us memorized at least one verse so I know at least one verse in every chapter of Proverbs.

One of my fave is in chapter 27:1-2
Do not boast about tomorrow,for you do not know what a day may bring forth.
Let another praise you,and not your own mouth;someone else, and not your own lips.
 
Prov 17:28 (Msg) Even dunces who keep quiet are thought to be wise;
as long as they keep their mouths shut, they're smart.

Prov 17:22 (Amp)A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.

It's very sad that more people have looked at the Practical Jokes thread than this one :)
 
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean NOT on your own understanding. In all your ways ACKNOWLEDGE Him and He shall direct your paths.
I capitalized a couple words, the first is the emphasis to go on pure faith after that 't' word is first crossed. Then, after doing all that, the second part of this Proverb early on in chapter 3 speaks of actively keeping your life centered on Him, making Him The One in your life until(maybe) He sees fit that you can still acknowledge Him first withHim adding someone to your life:)
 
I have many! The two that stand out a lot to me are...
Proverbs 4:23 "Above all else, guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life."
Proverbs 17:22 "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
 
Proverbs 25:25
As cold waters to a thirtsy soul, so is good news from a far country.
I got the good news of what Jesus did when He died for my/our sins, and three days later rose from the dead. It was from a far country called Judaea or if you would rather Israel. And He gave me the fresh cold water of His Holy Spirit (John 7:37-39; 4:10).
 
Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof
 
I cant choose just one, But i pray my children follow 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. This book if full of wisdom just keep reading and praying that the Holy Spirit will guide you and keep you. Lord bless
 
I see that I share my favorite Proverb with some others, Proverbs 3:6- In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
 
I like this one very much too because i have seen it in many ppl:
Proverbs 11:25 "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed"

Proverbs 31:18

She perceiveth that her merchandaise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

I like this one because I am an artist I would prefer to focus on that but I have to have a real job too, to pay the bills. There are many nights that I am up very late working on projects or listing them to be sold. It makes me feel like one day it will all pay off.
 
No matter how many times I read Proverbs I always find something new to take to heart. I am actually doing this now. I read the chapter (like if it's June 3rd I'll read chapter 3) find a verse that speaks to me, and write it on my wrist.
 
I do mosaics, interior design and I am currently making hair accessories as well.
