Psalm 20[a]

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

1 May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2 May he send you help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.
3 May he remember all your sacrifices
and accept your burnt offerings.[
b]
4 May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.
5 May we shout for joy over your victory
and lift up our banners in the name of our God.

May the Lord grant all your requests.

6 Now this I know:
The Lord gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
with the victorious power of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
8 They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.
9 Lord, give victory to the king!
Answer us when we call!

all, this is such a powerful Psalm of our confidence with our Lord, and Heavenly Father, Abba God. To even think we have been adopted, en grafted, made heirs with God, his son's and daughters, like who are we, well who we were God didn't adopt that person, who was defiled, but he allowed us to come to him, as his own, through Jesus, our new spiritual creation. THis is so encouraging this Psalm. I know when we became his own, he never would abandon us, or leave us, to be fed to the wolves, on the contrary he said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you.
Did you read the part where it says, some trust in chariots, some in horses, stansa 7.
This was the weapon of defense in wars, the chariots.
Some trust in what they have on them to fight against the powers and the darkness of evil. Not going to work, you can't point a weapon on the devil, Luke 10:19 Having some protection isn't the same as having the Name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, and Using it. "For we fight not against flesh and blood, but unto wickedness, in high places, principalities, and powers of the kingdom of darkness which is evil. Get into the Full Gear, get into the Full Gospel, of the delivering power of our Lord Jesus Christ. :) He is able, when were not.
