Put your hope in Jesus’ salvation, and not in the provision of the world or succor of the man.
• “The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.” (Lam 3.25,26).
• “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” (James 1.12).
Before the temptations, let’s choose to make up the group of those who wait and seek in Jesus. Unfortunately, most of the times we make up excuses like Saul (see 1Samuel 13.11-13), blaming it on people or circumstances. May us dare not to make up our hearts, but decide to seek in Christ His life which is the true crown to us.
It's past time to get our act together and make up time lost in plays or in vain works and things. It’s enough for us making up our bed and consenting to relax as if all was good. The truth is: if we don’t bide quietly and hopefully for the salvation of Jesus, we don’t believe in Him, but in our flesh (see Zechariah 4.6). At this case, we are cheating ourselves.
