I put the word abuse in quotations to quote you, now I realise it came out wrong (like an irony, but that`s not what I ment).

Pedophiles are not necessarily rapists; both pedophilia and homosexuality are deviant sexual behaviour. If a 12 year old child would give his consent to have sex with a pedophile, would that make it normal? No, and I saw that you also agreed that it isn`t and I`m glad you did.
Only because something is legal (zoophilia used to be legal in Germany, it is no more), does not mean it`s normal.

Just bc two ppl consent doesn't make it ok. My married neighbor might consent to intimacy with me. Does that make it ok?
 
Of course there have to be moral boundaries as well as legal ones.
I don't think any married person should sleep with someone else. And that's nothing to do with religion, I just don't want my wife to be with another man.

As for the 12 year old, I don't think a 12 year old should be allowed to make that decision. It's not something they should be exposed to, hence the legal age limit.

Have you been to Russia? What are you basing your comment on?

I am from Russia and I can't agree with you on this. There are lots of changes: both positive and negative... There is more freedom that we've had for many years, including religious freedom. There was time when my family hardly had any money to buy bread. Today we talk about not having enough money to buy a place to live... It is a big improvement.

The law is about homosexuality propoganda to minors! And you know what, I am happy we have this law... I don't want my newphews and nieces to hear lies. They get enough brain-washing about sexual life anyway.

I am not a fan of Mr. Putin, and whatever his motives are for discouraging homosexuality, I'll still be supporting the law.
And yes, terror attacks should be a bigger issue than a law that has to do only with our country.

love doesn't justify sin, otherwise it's not really love its serving either the self or making another an idol.

We're asked to love God first and foremost above all things.

You know, I seen several news reports on the law that was passed....being called the "anti-gay" law here in the U.S. It was definitely misrepresented in our media. It was portrayed as making being gay a crime.....I actually looked it up earlier because so many people are talking about it and your 100% right.....It has nothing to do with cracking down on gay people. It only makes it illegal to present homosexual propaganda to children.

Initially, I thought Putin was just making a cheap political point when he said that....basically implying that all homosexuals were pedophiles. However, now that I've actually researched it for myself.....I have to say that his statement is actually something I can agree with now that I know it wasn't a cheap shot. It's not an unreasonable law at all if you actually read it. Nothing in the law criminalizes homosexuality.
