Matthew 5:17, 1 John 2:3-6, Romans 7:12, Mark 7:6-9

All of these passages say the law is standing...

Deut 12 is part of the law...

Deut. 4says do not add or subtract even 1 law...

Do you still do ALL of Deuteronomy 12?

Deuteronomy 12

12 These are the decrees and laws you must be careful to follow in the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has given you to possess—as long as you live in the land. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains, on the hills and under every spreading tree, where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods. [SUP]3 [/SUP]Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and burn their Asherah poles in the fire; cut down the idols of their gods and wipe out their names from those places.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]You must not worship the Lord your God in their way. [SUP]5 [/SUP]But you are to seek the place the Lord your God will choose from among all your tribes to put his Name there for his dwelling. To that place you must go; [SUP]6 [/SUP]there bring your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, what you have vowed to give and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks. [SUP]7 [/SUP]There, in the presence of the Lord your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to, because the Lord your God has blessed you.

[SUP]8 [/SUP]You are not to do as we do here today, everyone doing as they see fit, [SUP]9 [/SUP]since you have not yet reached the resting place and the inheritance the Lord your God is giving you. [SUP]10 [/SUP]But you will cross the Jordan and settle in the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and he will give you rest from all your enemies around you so that you will live in safety. [SUP]11[/SUP]Then to the place the Lord your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name—there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, and all the choice possessions you have vowed to the Lord. [SUP]12 [/SUP]And there rejoice before the Lord your God—you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levites from your towns who have no allotment or inheritance of their own. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Be careful not to sacrifice your burnt offerings anywhere you please. [SUP]14 [/SUP]Offer them only at the place the Lord will choose in one of your tribes, and there observe everything I command you.

[SUP]15 [/SUP]Nevertheless, you may slaughter your animals in any of your towns and eat as much of the meat as you want, as if it were gazelle or deer, according to the blessing the Lord your God gives you. Both the ceremonially unclean and the clean may eat it. [SUP]16 [/SUP]But you must not eat the blood; pour it out on the ground like water. [SUP]17 [/SUP]You must not eat in your own towns the tithe of your grain and new wine and olive oil, or the firstborn of your herds and flocks, or whatever you have vowed to give, or your freewill offerings or special gifts. [SUP]18 [/SUP]Instead, you are to eat them in the presence of the Lord your God at the place the Lord your God will choose—you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levites from your towns—and you are to rejoice before the Lord your God in everything you put your hand to. [SUP]19 [/SUP]Be careful not to neglect the Levites as long as you live in your land.

[SUP]20 [/SUP]When the Lord your God has enlarged your territory as he promised you, and you crave meat and say, “I would like some meat,” then you may eat as much of it as you want. [SUP]21 [/SUP]If the place where the Lord your God chooses to put his Name is too far away from you, you may slaughter animals from the herds and flocks the Lord has given you, as I have commanded you, and in your own towns you may eat as much of them as you want. [SUP]22 [/SUP]Eat them as you would gazelle or deer. Both the ceremonially unclean and the clean may eat. [SUP]23 [/SUP]But be sure you do not eat the blood, because the blood is the life, and you must not eat the life with the meat. [SUP]24 [/SUP]You must not eat the blood; pour it out on the ground like water. [SUP]25 [/SUP]Do not eat it, so that it may go well with you and your children after you, because you will be doing what is right in the eyes of the Lord.

[SUP]26 [/SUP]But take your consecrated things and whatever you have vowed to give, and go to the place the Lord will choose. [SUP]27 [/SUP]Present your burnt offerings on the altar of the Lord your God, both the meat and the blood. The blood of your sacrifices must be poured beside the altar of the Lord your God, but you may eat the meat. [SUP]28 [/SUP]Be careful to obey all these regulations I am giving you, so that it may always go well with you and your children after you, because you will be doing what is good and right in the eyes of the Lord your God.

[SUP]29 [/SUP]The Lord your God will cut off before you the nations you are about to invade and dispossess. But when you have driven them out and settled in their land, [SUP]30 [/SUP]and after they have been destroyed before you, be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same.” [SUP]31 [/SUP]You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it

Do you still do sacrifices?

Do you still do ALL of Deuteronomy 12?

You are trying to say that since I don't do some of the law, we don't have to follow it all...
The problem is yes I do, I have Jesus Christ! He is my atonement, I need none other. I still have a offering. And I remember Him by breaking bread and drinking grape juice... I will never forget my Messiah. I will never forget my KING.

Deut 12...
28 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the Lord thy God.
29 When the Lord thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;
30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
31 Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.
32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

The law is standing, but only to show us that we are imperfect, it does not save us neither does abiding by the law [circumcision] profit us anything. What purpose do you believe the law serves?

Romans 5:20-21 20 God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant. 21 So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

So what are his commandments then? 1 John 2:3-6

The knowledge of, and doing the truth is the extra oil in the parable of the virgins. When you have the Spirit of Messiah in you, He will guide you into truth. The more truth you obey, the more truth you will receive.
[h=1]2 Thessalonians 2:10-13 (KJ21)[/h] [SUP]10 [/SUP]and with all the deceit of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie,
[SUP]12 [/SUP]that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you for salvation, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,

I gather that all have been offered the truth, for it says (v 10) "they received it not", as to say how could they "receive it not" had it not been offered?

Another subject, but do you know our Creator's Name has been removed from modern translations way over 6000 times? Once you receive the love for the truth, nothing else really matters. :) Messiah is the Way, the Truth, and the Life...His yoke is easy and light.

So what do you think about this, am I in delusion, or should I not celebrate Christmas or what....

It took me a year to find out that there is no J in hebrew, and His name is Yeshua. :D

I can't decide for anyone save myself. I'll say this, when I found out what abomination means to our Almighty, I set about repenting, and didn't look back. He promises to reward those who diligently seek Him with all their heart. He is alive forevermore. Constantine has returned to dust.

Looking at this, and taking into context what is said, and what has been said in the Torah, I would tend to think that our Abba is just a tad bit jealous, and he does not want us to have or worship any other mighty ones before His presence. I think that can sum up the answer very easily.

We clearly see this stated in the commandments to have no other gods before Him, no idols to any gods, to not bow down and worship or serve them, and to remember His name and NOT forget it for ba'al or any other gods.

Does He think it's ok to observe a pagan holiday towards another god in observance of His Son's Birthday?
Sounds like a slap in the face to our creator and ha'Mashiah if you ask me...

I don't celebrate Christ's birth. Why? Because I feel that, if God felt it important for us to celebrate the birth of Christ, He would have made more information (place, date and time, duration, etc.) available concerning the event.

The Christian holidays are rooted in judaism, not in paganism. The Easter is older than Christmas, and is the correspondent of the Jewish Passover. Only that on Easter, christians do not celebrate the exodus from the slavery of Egyptians, but we celebrate the exodus from death to life, exodus brought by Jesus Christ. Also, a little correction if you don't mind, you said that Christians celebrate on Sunday Jesus' death. This is false. What Christians celebrate on the Easter Sunday is not Jesus' death, but Jesus' resurrection. It is on Friday that Christians have the service (the lamentations) for Jesus' death.

I know that the day of Christmas is related [also] to the winter solstice. I also know that there had been discussions between the christians in Rome and those from the Orient regarding the day on which Christmas should be celebrated. Those from Rome celebrated it on 25 of December, while, those from East celebrated on 7 or 8 January, on the same day they would celebrate Jesus' baptism. They were calculating according to different calendars, but finally they agreed for 25 of December.

I see there is a lot of effort in taking Jesus Christ' nativity (the center and the reason of our joy and of the holiday) out of Christmas. Only because people ignore what we celebrate on Christmas and try to turn it into a pagan holiday it doesn't mean that the Christians do not know that they celebrate Jesus' nativity/God's incarnation.

Also, when Christians gather on Sundays, in churches, they do it for Jesus Christ, and not for the sun god.

The celebration is about gods intervention.. its about celebrating all the time what God has done, is doing, and continues to do..its about his intervention into our lives... and when the intervention comes it isnt celebrated on one day or in one season but recognized all the time in continuous thanksgiving ,fellowship, and praise... with Him... His intervention is a continuous joyful noise that superceeds anything we can do to celebrate it..

The law is standing but only to show us that we are imperfect. We are not saved by the law. Do you believe that God wants all people everywhere to follow all decrees that are found in the Old Testament?
IF you show me where the law is no longer in command then I will not believe that...
what are his commandments then? 1 John 2:3-6

Simple.

God can use ALL things for good. It does not matter if it origionated from a pagan holiday (which I believe it did myself) or not. Many people have come to God on those Days, God uses them, so why should we take away somethign God has turned to good from evil?

What about Deut 12:28-32???

What about Deut 12:28-32???

deut 12 was written to Isreal, as a warning to them. Not us.

also does not apply, I am not worshiping their Gods, I turned their days into a day of joy and celebration. Again, If God can use it (which he has) why are you so upset? I think your taking things to rough.

I am not upset...

How do you know that deut 12 is not written to us? What verse can you give?
