Not until we talk like in Matthew 18:15-17 will I respond to your questions or statements on this thread... I have messaged you.

lol. We dealt with it already, I asked who was in sin.

Just because you claim someone is sinning does not mean they are. I think we have proved we are not sinning.

Jesus should get all the credit for what we do, for without the Lord our God we could do nothing. Out of that love for Him we are to show the same respect back to Him by obeying what He told us to do.
Jesus makes it clear that if you deny to follow His commands, and deny to help others, you deny Him......

only one problem.

If we are obeying God to recieve eternal life. we are doing it for self benefit, not Gods.

If we are obeying god OUT OF APPRECIATION for having saved us eternally, and out of love and respect for him. And out of th epower of the HS who has sealed us and given to us as a guarantee, and teaches all things, God gets ALL the credit.

You are basing doctrine on one verse, what do you do with these?

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

No, Brother John, I'm basing everything on one PERSON, that is Jesus Christ.

Jesus did not say, "Depart from me, you never knew me." The Word reads: "Depart from me, I never knew YOU." That means that person did not abandon their heart to the Lord Jesus. It's like an unfaithful spouse who takes your name but is not intimate with you. They don't let you into their heart.

You can raise dead people up from the grace, you can move mountains, you can give all you have to the poor, you can even KEEP ALL THE LAWS... but Jesus doesn't know you because you did not come to the truth that it is HE who keeps us, not we ourselves. We must abandon our minds and heart and efforts and humbly give Jesus credit for everything and just follow Him like sheep follow a Shepherd.

When you find a sheep that can maintain its own life without a shepherd, I will believe you can please God by entangling yourself in trying to keep the whole law.

You accused me, you have wronged me, now lets do Matthew 18:15-17
Yes I have accused you. And you have proven me right in my accusations.

I am dealing with Mathew 18. I have seen a brother sinning against a brother by judging him, I confronted him. Then I saw a brother teaching a works based Gospel not from God, and I am confronting him on it.

So are you going to deal with issues, or keep going back to a passage which does not support you at all.

There does not seem to be much chatter about Easter in this combined holiday thread.

I thought I'd comment on this one since the Gregorian calendar is centered around this pagan god...

The following information is from a study I put together about the Biblical Calendar (Luni-Solar, Moon-Sun) vs Man's Calendar (Solar, Sun only).

From Wikipedia;
The Gregorian calendar, also called the Western calendar and the Christian calendar, is internationally the most widely used civil calendar.[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP] It is named for Pope Gregory XIII, who introduced it in 1582.
The calendar was a refinement in 1582 to the Julian calendar[SUP][4][/SUP] amounting to a 0.002% correction in the length of the year. The motivation for the reform was to bring the date for the celebration of Easter to the time of the year in which the First Council of Nicaea had agreed upon in 325. Because the celebration of Easter was tied to the spring equinox, the Roman Catholic Church considered this steady drift in the date of Easter undesirable.

From the above quote in wikipedia, we see two key points relevant to the general purpose of the Gregorian calendar, in that it was centered around a pagan god named Ishtar, and was ordered to be observed by the Roman Catholic Pope.

Most of us are already aware that almost all of the holidays (Holy Days) of the Gregorian calendar are of pagan origin, but here's a show of the origin of the names of the actual days. Research the names of the months and you will find similar.

Pulled from some site in my studies where I forgot to mark the actual site at that time;
Pagan Names for the Days of the Week
A "sin" that the greatest majority of otherwise sincere people do not realize they are committing on a daily basis is calling on the names of pagan deities when they say anything about any day of the week using the secular weekday names. Scripture does NOT name the days, but calls them in the order of their sequence during the Creation. Yahuwah had some things to say about that practice, and those things do not bode well for those guilty of it.

  • Howshea' (Hosea) 2:16-17 And it will be in that day," says Yahuwah, "you will call Me 'My Husband' and no longer call Me 'My Lord' and I will take from her mouth the names of the pagan deities and they will not be remembered by their name anymore.
  • Shemot (Exodus) 23:13 And in all that I have said to you give heed and make no mention of the name of other elohiym nor let it be heard from your mouth.
Below are the secular calendar names of the days. Take note that each and every one of them is derived from and/or dedicated to a pagan deity. This ought not to be in a world that claims to followers of Yahwah.
1. Sunday (day of the sun) is the first day of the week. Its English name and its German name (Sonntag) are derived from the Latin dies solis, "sun's day," the name of a pagan Roman holiday. Sunday is called the Lord's Day (Dominica in the Latin version) and in Romance languages (French Dimanche; Italian Domenica; Spanish Domingo; Roman Duminica). Sunday was instituted as a day of rest for the Roman Empire, NOT Christians, by the Roman emperor Constantine the Great. Since the 4th century, ecclesiastical and civil legislation controlled by the Roman Catholic Church has frequently regulated work on Sunday and service attendance.
2. Monday (day of the moon) is the second day of the week, derived from the Anglo-Saxon monandaeg, which means "the moon's day." Its Latin equivalent is dies lunae, or "day of the moon." For the Anglo-Saxons the second day was sacred to the goddess of the moon. In German the second day is Montag, in French lundi, and in Italian lunedì.
3. Tuesday (Tyr's day) is the third day of the week, named for the Norse god of war, Tiu, or Tyr, the son of Odin, or Woden. It is called tisdag in Sweden, Tirsdag in Denmark. The Romans honored their god of war, Mars, by naming the third day for him (dies Martis), and in France the day is mardi, in Italy martedì, and in Spain martes. In Germany it is Dienstag, originally meaning "assembly day." It is called yom shlishi in (Ibriy) Hebrew, meaning "third day" or "day three."
4. Wednesday (Woden's day) is the fourth day of the week, named to honor Odin, or Woden, chief god in Norse mythology. In Sweden and Denmark, the day is Onsdag, from its Norse original. The Romans honored their god Mercury by naming the fourth day for him, in Latin, dies Mercurii. Languages of Latin origin retain the root: French, mercredi; Spanish, miércoles; and Italian, mercoledì. The Germans call the day Mittwoch, meaning "mid-week." In Ibriy it is the equivalent of fourth day.
5. Thursday (Thor's day) is named for Thor who in Norse mythology is the god of thunder, eldest son of Odin, ruler of the gods, and Jord, the earth goddess. Thor was the strongest of the Aesir, the chief gods, whom he helped protect from their enemies, the giants. He had a magic hammer, which he threw with the aid of iron gloves and which always returned to him. Thunder was supposed to be the sound of the rolling of his chariot.
6. Friday (Frigg's day) is named for Frigg or Frigga who in Norse mythology is the goddess of the sky and wife of Odin, the chief of the gods. She was worshipped as the goddess of darkness, who killed Balder with a mistletoe sprig. In German mythology, Frigg was sometimes identified with Freya, the goddess of love.
7. Saturday (Saturn's day) is the seventh day of the week, named in honor of the Roman god Saturn. In Latin, Saturday was called dies Saturni; it was called Sater-daeg by the Anglo-Saxons. It is the rest day of the Yisra'eliy and in Ibriy is called Shabbath. The word shabbath derives from the Ibriy word meaning "to rest or cease, intermission"; the Yisra'eliy were enjoined from working on the seventh day. It begins at sunset the sixth day and lasts until sunset the seventh day. In Sweden Saturday is Lördag, or Lord's Day; and in Denmark and Norway it is Lørdag. In Spanish it is el sábado and in Italian sabato, both derived from sabbath.

15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

I am at verse 15 right now, i have told you the fault in private... Do you wish to respond in private or are you going to continue to disobey this commandment?

No way was Christ born on the 25th, or died Easter Sunday...

Why not? Clearly his death was on Passover, which is pretty close to Easter. Have you ever read why Christians fixed the date of Easter rather than following Passover? The early Christians actually met, discussed the issue, then wrote down their reasoning. You can even read them. It has nothing to do with pagan days.
In the Christian world at the time, there were two reckonings for the date of Christ's death. One, which was followed by much of Eastern Christianity, followed what amounted to Passover on the Jewish calendar, and so they observed Jesus' death on Passover with his resurrection following three days later, no matter what day of the week those occurred. Some of Western Christianity though had fixed the date of Jesus' death so that they could always observe the resurrection on the first day of the week.

So the early church met and debated the issue.

December 25th being the day they worship their sun god's.

Who is "they?"

And on Easter where they would sacrifice children and die eggs in the baby's blood, because Ishtar/Easter was Nimrods wife who was the god of fertility was reincarnated and when she came back down from the moon she came in a egg, To proclaim divinity she turned a bird into a rabbit that lays eggs. So, they would impregnate virgins on the alter of Easter and slaughter the children when they were 3 months old. And dye the eggs in the baby's blood as a remembrance of the goddess of the moon.
Tammuz was Nimrod's reincarnation name, and died in a freak hunting accident from a boar. So on Easter they would not only sacrifice children and die the egg's for the moon goddess, but they would slaughter a pig and eat it for the sun god on Easter.
Furthermore they would deny themselves 40 days of pleasure each year around the time of Easter so the sun god could have pleasure in the after life. Nearly identical to lent.
Ishtar/Easter Nimrod's wife said that she saw a tree appear when her husband/son ascended into heaven. And every year he would return to give presents under it...

Chemosh/Molech god of prosperity, his people had a tradition on December 25th that they would get a statue of him with a phrygian cap, red hot with a fire, and the people would make a list of their desires and then set a child on his lap so the desire would be fulfilled.

Zeus/Jupiter on December 25th a Greek general Antiochus Epiphanies set a statue of that god on the Temple Mount and sacrificed a pig on the Alter of God and declared Jupiter god over God.

Ra and Artis, both castrated themselves so worshipers would hang gold and silver balls in honor of them from palm tree's.

What are your sources for any of this?

Matthew 11: 29,30: Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

If things are not easy and light, if you are striving and struggling, if you are heavy hearted, go to the Lord Jesus and find rest in Him alone.

15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

this is a bible discussion forum, do you not understand that? so lets discuss scripture, and views about it, that is what we have been doing is it not?

You've already 'done' v.16 and first part of v17 in this thread (in a way),
time to draw your conclusions.

I'm wondering if someone even believes in the one true God.. just sayin'....(not your quote)
I think he probably does, he is just trying to get brownie points with God.(your quote)

Show me where I have searched for brownie points...

Which is what I have said all along, we are to do it out of love and not for self.
The thing is though that people need to understand is that you are not sealed by the Holy Spirit if you continue to walk in willful sin. Willful sin keeps you enmity to God and a slave to it, you have to turn from being a slave of those sins to being a follower of the Lord. This is where repentance comes into play, your change of mind toward the sins you walked in leading you to want to turn away from them for the godly sorrow you feel for them separating you from God.
Sin keeps you separated from God, grace we are under is not a free license to sin as Paul warns believers for the dangers it poses to believers.

Jimmie, be not deceived!
As I have shown, the Gregorian calendar, was generally made in reverence to pagan gods, and ordered to be observed by the "harlot that sits on many waters". This is simply another part of the beast's attempt to "think to change times and laws".

Passover is on the 14th day of the first month, which is Abib/Nisan, or April in the Gregorian calendar, but not the correct day being celebrated as passover.

did you not say we have to endure to the end, to finish the race or we will not be saved? or did I misunderstand you?
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

It does not say the one who prayers a prayer and accepts me will be saved....
No, the one who endures... Will be saved.

Parallels...
Matthew 10:22
You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Luke 21:19
Stand firm, and you will win life.

Romans 2:7
To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

Hebrews 10:36
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

1 sheppards do not tend to the sheep at night in a field when it's winter...

Sheep were in the field year round according to the sources we have available (b. Beitzah 40a).

I don't see where any of those wiki links support what you've previously said.

did you not say we have to endure to the end, to finish the race or we will not be saved? or did I misunderstand you?

Our Lord Jesus said that !!!

Matthew 10:22, 24:13, Mark 13:13

Then the apostles in the epistles stated the same;

Romans 11:22, 1 Corinthians 9:24-25, 1 Timothy 4:16, 2 Timothy 4:2-8, Hebrews 3:12-14, 6:4-6, 10:36, 12:1-3, 2 Peter 2:20-22, and James 1:12 just to name a few....

Passover is on 14 Nisan, agreed.
