Have any of you guys that have quit or trying porn or masturbation noticed a diffrence in any of this?

Shyness(Like becoming less shy around people.)
Being able to talk to people easier.
Being able to find things to say to other people easier.
Being able to hear from God easier or feel his presence easier.
Ability to talk to the oppisite sex easier.
Or any other difference that you've noticed after you noticed after quieting porn or masturbation or both.

Also I'm interested if anyone noticed some of the differences that were stated in the article.

I have a very shy personality so no change in any aspect there . I do feel closer to God now and I feel that I understand the Word better .

I think it's a no-brainer that ceasing to routinely sin would bring a person closer to God. As for the rest...

I don't think it's so much working on this specific sin in my life as having that relationship with Jesus and working on sin as a whole. I've been friendlier, more personable, more centered and grounded...

I also notice more the way our culture isn't just permeated with this idea of the "normality" of masturbation, but also the incessant urging of people our age to experiment. All the articles and notices and adverts telling us it's a "natural exploration of sexuality," that "everyone does it, and those who say they don't lie," and that it's "healthy and normal." Someone in Northern California decided May was "National Masturbation Month," and even though I don't interact with people on Facebook I wouldn't want to spend time with IRL, I still saw the articles written about it and ads for it on FB, on the google news feed, twitter....

And there are also the "Slut Walks" being organized, which are ostensibly outcries against blaming women for their own rapes. But, though protecting women from re-victimization seems like a cause I'd be willing to get behind, when I read about it, the organizers believe that women should have the right to make a living in any manner they want, including prostitution. Which is totally on another PLANET from saying women shouldn't be blamed for their own rapes.

It all goes back to saying that sexual immorality is a-ok, and even to be encouraged.
