I'm thankful Jesus didn't feel that way about me Dude!!! I am against what is called "writing people off"

How many of us have done something reeeealllyyy STUPID or said something reeeeaaaallllly STUPID AND OR HURTFUL in our life time? How many of us have been guilty guilty guilty! But Jesus showed us mercy mercy MERCY!

In my 58 years as one who has done some very stupid things at times., I'm glad that Jesus has shown me mercy and grace. That He has brought me to a place by sheer GRACE so that I live to see another day. And so must I do the same for others. Writing people off is NOT an option.

Jesus loves and died for all us sinners., including the racist.
 
I've not read the entire thread just the first few pages, but to the OP I would
have reported it.

Here in the UK such language would be considered to be shocking and totally
inappropriate for the workplace environment. But there again a lot of work has been
done over the years to stamp out racism in the UK. I'm not saying it's perfect but
you generally do not hear language like that in the UK workplace at all.

In my current job working for the civil service, at best this would have attracted a written
warning, maybe more.

You did the right thing in my opinion. People have to realise that this kind of language is not
acceptable. The more they are allowed to get away with it the more they do it and the more
endemic it becomes in society.


If people want to express such views in their own homes or have such opinions, there is
nothing that can be done about that, but in the work place they need to understand it is
not acceptable. Maybe if more people had challanged this person in the past, they would have come
to realise they are the ones who need the attitude adjustment.


Incidentally if it had been the other way around a black person making derogatory remarks
about a white person, or group etc. I would have said the same.

I'm only illustrating his very reactionary responses...which is what occurred with the incident at his workplace

then he had time to regret it and now he is very busy saying he does not care

Might not be regret, might be shock that there are still people who are racist. Also shock that the guy assumed that he was racist too, thus felt comfortable speaking frankly to him with his hate speech.

Reactionary response would have been to punch him.

People refuse to hear what's wrong with them though the ends would justify the means.

Since cracker is a disparaging name given to White people, I'd say the prevalent racism, if it existed in this case, would be coming from the creators of that term.

My sister, I can't help but notice your avatar and the thought that comes to mind while seeing it in this thread. Imagine if White and Black could coexist in the same manner as it does on a zebra.
