Yes, I read back through the comments first. What I'm getting from you is that anyone who disagrees must be "of the world". Yes, yes, you caught us. We're all ignorant heathens.
No, I don't consider Musk or Trump to be Christian, but that doesn't erase the positive things they've done. I'm very aware of the negatives, as well.
Bottom line and the reason for my first post: If you're going to proclaim "Hate, slander, those things don't reside in me" as you proceed to literally slander someone, don't be surprised when the obvious hypocrisy gets called out.
It seems you don't have a good grasp the Christians state of being.
In Christ, as per Rom. 7: 14-21, we are in a different state of being. That state of being is described by a military term in the Greek texts.
It describes 3 entities, God and the Holy Spirit, satan and his minions, and us. It describes God and satan in trench warfare over our souls, and we are merely onlookers with only the power to choose which one we surrender ourselves to.
This state of being is called sanctification, precisely, we are separated from our sinful nature's, to the point where Paul says, if I do what I do not want to do, it's not me doing it but indwelling in me doing it.
That is what I meant by hate and slander do not reside in me. Because of a continually surrendered life to Him, i am separated from doing those things, they don't abide, stay, reside in myself.
Where i went to far is just stating my opinion about things and people of the world. I usually don't do that, but GWH and I have been talking for months publicly and in private, and we have a good understanding of where each of us is at.
My discerning of trump and Musk is really just an observation of what is general public knowledge. And because I'm still "in" the world, I continually deal with thoughts of liking trump and Musk, and my leaning hard to the conservative side of things. But it all needs to be tempered with the truth, and the truth is not on their side at this point in time.
Looking forward to you reply about faith.
