I live in South Philly where just about everyone lives in a rowhome. (Sort of like a townhouse, but for blue-collar workers. "Town-house" is a white-collar workers word. lol) In one neighborhood we drove thorough, there's a post office in the middle of the block, properly joined with the rest of the rowhomes. The only difference is the facade and it's about the width of 2 rowhomes. (Making it roughly 33 feet wide.) It's trash day there, so we were (INCREDIBLY) slowed down by the trash collectors ahead of us, AND following a Jersey driver. (Most Jersey drivers don't know being called a Jersey driver is an insult in this city. BTW, I'm from Jersey originally, so I still have a bit of Jersey driver in me. You know. Those annoying people who actually stop at stop signs and red lights, who actually have to take five tries to squeeze into a tiny parking spot, and who get flustered because they take that often and traffic is backing up, so they quit to find a bigger spot five blocks away. This is socially unacceptable in this city.) So I took the time to see what kind of licence plates were on cars parked along this street.
I'm left wondering... Why are people from NJ, NY, and D.C. mailing envelopes at a post office in a non-descript neighborhood in the middle of nothing in particular but other like-kind neighborhoods in South Philly?

I figured out why so many close-to-us state license plates were parked in out-of-the-way neighborhoods. Fourth of July, Independence Day, Philadelphia, the place where the documents were made and signed that started that fight with England. Duh now! I forgot Philly is a Mecca of sorts on Independence Day and it's impossible to park in Olde City. Kind of funny, since our plans are always to avoid the big hoopla.

The dog is being patient. The toys are kindness (unless you happen to like stuffed animals and don't want them to be dog chew toys, but I know that's just one of my silly quirks, not real. lol) And the tree stands tall and strong without being envious or arrogant. Perfect photo for that verse! Brilliant!

My only high school BF was from when I lived in Virginia. I was still going out with him my first year of college, although I had moved to two different states in the meantime. He asked me to marry him by offering me a view of his house (he already owned a small house on his parents' property, which is impressive at 18, even though it was small.) And he showed me the ringer-washing machine I'd get to use, if I married him. (In all fairness, they lived on well water, so there just wasn't enough water pressure for a modern washing machine, but it is the only ringer I've ever seen.) His goal in life was to remain the auto-parts person behind the counter. AND, I almost married him for fear he'd be the only guy who would ever ask.
Then I thought better of that, and decided if God is taking care of me, it's fine if I never marry, rather than marry for that stupid reason.
Some of my family lives in that town in VA, so I'd go down to visit. I ran into him a year or two later, and met his wife -- the gal who thought he was wonderful. The ex BF acted odd, but I chalked it up to "why wouldn't he be nervous around his ex with his wife right there?" But he talked to my family, and then one of them told me he feared I'd be jealous of his wife.
Really not. I was glad he found someone who truly loved him.
Several years later, hubby and I went down for a family reunion. No such thing as visiting down there without going to the swank restaurant my younger brother is the chef of, so the entire family invaded his restaurant one night. (We took up 2/3rds of the seating. lol) Ex BF and his wife were in a booth. I wouldn't have noticed had he not come over to me. I introduced him to hubby, and had him bring over the wife so my hubby and she could meet, as well as 30+ family members with us.
Older brother left something out in his truck, so he went out to get it and ran into ex and his wife in the parking lot. Ex told my bro that he thought my hubby was ready to beat him up. Not really. Hubby already knew this story, and he got me. What's to be jealous of? I did feel sorry for his wife though, since apparently I was his ring on the merry-go-round that he never caught. That was the real thing I had against the guy. He always thought I was perfect, and I always felt obligated to prove I wasn't. At least, hubby accepts my imperfection, so nothing to prove.
I didn't dodge that bullet. Jesus deflected.

I may be wrong Lady.
But it is my opinion that a fool cannot enlighten anyone in a positive manner.
So the only way they can get attention is to be offensive.
Offensive and stupid..lol.. why people won't use what God gave them is beyond me. I mean, do they really think they are BORN naturally smart?

My brain has a fantastic benefit package. It's so good, my brain only works a couple of days a week, and it chooses which days those are.a random thought: are some people born without brains? Because I know alot of foolish people who don't seem to use them..
