Rom 10:17 Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God
Jn 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you
Acts 15:9 Peter said, God made no distinction between Jews & Gentiles, cleansing their hearts by faith
Acts 15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
(MY NOTE: New Testament/covenant believers are Purified/baptized/indwelt, by the Living Water = Christ's Holy Spirit [Jn 4:10, 7:37-39, Rev 22:17] thur faith placed in Christ's sin atoning death & resurrection)
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word
(MY NOTE: After we've been indwelt/sealed/purified by Christ's Holy Spirit. We need daily cleansing (not just H2O) by washing(reading/studying/meditating) in the Spiritual water of His cleansing Word.
Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit
How we grace age believers deal with our daily fumbles/sins. Scripture makes it clear we never again have to pray for forgiveness. We should constantly be mindful & thankful WE ARE FORGIVEN! (1 Jn2:12, Col 3:1, Eph 1:7, 4:32, Hab 9:12, 13:20, Rev 1:5) You’re already forgiven, confess your short coming & thank the Father for the forgiveness already provided in/thru Christ.
2 Tim 1:9 Who hath saved us, & called us with an holy calling, """not according to our works""" but """according to his own purpose and grace""", which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
Jesus finished the work of redemption & we receive His gifts (grace Eph 4:7, Rom 3:24, eternal life Rom 6:23, Christs imputed righteousness Rom 5:17) thru faith in His death & resurrection.
Rom 11:29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable [for He does not withdraw what He has given, nor does He change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call].
