Reality check

[Revelation42day]

If I could step outside myself
and take a look at me
as I'd stand there face to face
dear Lord what would I see?

Would I see success or failure
by what standard would I gage
would I see my life just starting
or on it's final page?

Do I stop and smell the Roses
can I read between the lines?
would I be a man of vision
or all together blind?

And does my self defined opinion
of how it aught to be
include the needs of others
or simply those of me?

And if I took these questions
and lined them in a row
there'd be one more I'd have to ask
do I really want to know?
