It's silly to you because you haven't (at least as of yet) been given faith by God in Christ as Savior so your trust is still in man.

A young person is forced to go to church by their parents. They make some friends there who are all committed christians, they do not want to be the odd one out so they make a commitment too, though obviously a shallow one. Will God ''officially'' place them in a saved state even though the commitment is shallow? Yes
However, due to the shallow commit#tment they will only believe for a while, then fall away

You keep interjecting those folks in Rom 1:18ff thats the reprobate world under the wrath of God, they arent reconciled to God, Rom 1:18

They are not reconciled by the Death of Christ, they are rejected and reprobated by God Rom 1:28

God doesnt do that to the reconciled sinners by Christs death. They are in His acceptance and favor. These folks in Rom 1:18ff are under wrath and reprobated and not reconciled..
