Continuing in faith is what I want, but not being reprogrammed as a robot.
Ditto love--which robots cannot do, although demons can fake it!
LOL! Not robots, rather, this:

Romans 12:1-2 KJV
1) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Again I ask you, along with continuing in the faith, is your desire to be transformed by the renewing of your mind?

So that you will consistently live like this:

Galatians 5:22-24 KJV
22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24) And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Much love!

It is not us who undoes the seal, it is Him who unseals.

I suspect you knew this already.
Scripture please. He never speaks of undoing His seal. Never. And if that were to happen, I can think of a number of clearly stated passages that would suddenly become untrue.

Much love!

This parable is given to us by the Master of the New Covenant.
You are fudging on the distinction. Yes, the same God who gave the Law to Israel also died to save us gentiles. Just the same, the two covenants are not the same, and we do well to understand the difference, in my opinion.

Have you truly never met a Christian who has fallen away?
That's right. I have not. I don't believe you have either. No one who is regenerated is lost. If that were happen, New Testament prophecies would remain unfulfilled, rendering the Bible false.

Really?

I need to show you a verse that proves God can unseal. Is He not sovereign?

I would like to see these passages that would suddenly become untrue if God could remove His own seal.

So you know for a fact who is and is not "regenerated".

Of course He can, only, He never says He will. He can turn the world into a mushroom but He doesn't.

I would like to see these passages that would suddenly become untrue if God could remove His own seal.
Here's one to start with. Before I spend a lot of time typing let's see if you believe this one place:

Colossians 3:1-4 KJV
1) If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

If you are risen with Christ now, you SHALL appear with Him then. Do you believe this is true? This is prophecy. It will be fulfilled.

Much love!

No, my reply allows Paul to define what is meant by being sealed, which is NOT that it forces believers to persevere per the Scripture I cited that you choose to ignore.

Yes, justification & sanctification are one category, which is salvation via faith. Discussions with TULIPists on CC prompted me to have that insight.

Re "Jesus never says believes & keeps believing": Yes he does, but you keep on ignoring him.

Re the ""jump out of the Father's hand"" argument: it harmonizes all of the NT statements, whereas you keep them divorced as though double-thinking is the correct hermeneutic.

Re By Grace are you saved thru Faith! NOT by Grace are you saved thru perseverance": There you go again, divorcing faith at the beginning of sanctification from life-long faith, as I used to do, too.

Re "A seal that can be undone by the one sealed IS NOT a biblical seal; it's a conditional sticker. You're treating the fruit of salvation as the condition of salvation, which reverses Paul's entire presentation": My point is that you ignore half of Paul's explanation, and how does your view avoid the charge of forced faith?

Re "Once the Lord accepts (only He can) the sinners appeal for forgiveness based on faith alone & baptizes SEALING them with the FOREVER indwelling (Jn 14:16) Holy Spirit (only He can) God the Holy Spirit-in-them cannot be overthrown.": Not per what you ignore, which is the possibility of blasphemy against the HS.
Scripture teaches that God the Son is the One who baptizes the believer with the Holy Spirit (Matt 3:11 & John 1:33) & the Spirit He gives is the ""forever‑indwelling"" Helper Jesus promised: He will be with you forever (Jn 14:16–17). This Spirit‑baptism is the moment of new birth & regeneration.

The Spirit of life has set you free (Rom 8:2), Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col 1:27) & it is God Himself who works in the believer ""both to will & to do"" (Phil 2:13), breaking sin's dominion (Rom 6:14), sanctifying/setting us apart (2 Thes 2:13)& empowering us to walk in the good works He prepared (Eph 2:10). This same Spirit is also God's seal: you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise (Eph 1:13), sealed until the day of redemption (Eph 4:30) & God sealed us & gave the Spirit in our hearts (2 Cor 1:22).

Jesus reinforces this security repeatedly: I give them eternal life & they shall never perish (Jn 10:28); has eternal life, has passed from death to life & shall not come into condemnation (Jn 5:24); he who believes has eternal life (Jn 6:47). Salvation rests on the unbreakable work of the Triune God-God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit, who saves, who seals, who keeps, and who finishes salvation's call. Forever Sealed!

OSAS pushes that once redemption is given then God is bound to not take it away, regardless of the actions of the redeemed.

1 Corinthians 1:30-31 KJV
30) But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31) That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

1 John 3:1-3 KJV
1) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3) And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

God has promised that those who are His childen will become like Him when we see Him. He has further said that by having this particular expectation based on His promise, that the one who has this expectation "purifies himself".

So in fact as we know - know - that God will make us like Him, this is what causes us to lead pure lives.

Do you believe this?

Much love!

No, I'm not saying that. But when someone "goes out" and says they never really believed to begin with, it's clear.

King Saul was anointed, confirmed and witnessed by the people as king but the crown was taken from him.

Your passage does not imply that the promise is one sided, unlimited or even incessant.

IOW, like all promises it has its boundaries.

That is not the type of people we are talking about, we are talking about those who confess Jesus as Lord and then reject Him. Such as those mentioned in 2nd Tim. 2:12.

Paul is writing to Christians.

It makes a flat statement, with no room for contradiction. Thank you for your response!

Again you ignore Rom. 11:22, 1Cor. 15:2, Col. 1:22-23, 2Thes. 1:4-5, 2Tim. 2:12, Heb. 3:6&14, 10:35-36, Jam. 1:12, 2Pet. 1:10-11, 2:20, 1John 2:24-25 and Rev. 2:10, but let us look at what you cited:

Matt. 3:11 & John 1:33 - Yes, Jesus baptizes believers with the HS, but this does not answer the question:
Is it possible per GW for someone with saving faith to repudiate Jesus and commit apostasy/blasphemy?

John 14:16-17 - Jesus said the Father would give his disciples the HS to be with them forever.
This needs to be harmonized with 1John 2:24-25, “See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you.
If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us—even eternal life.”
Harmonization: The HS will be with believers unless they do not remain in the Son and Father.

Rom. 8:2 - Paul said the law of the Spirit of life sets those who are in Christ free from the law of sin and death.
This needs to be harmonized with Rom. 11:22, “Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God:
sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.”
Harmonization: The Spirit sets believers free, but they continue in His kindness in order to be saved.

Col. 1:27 - Yes, Christ is the hope of glory, but this does not answer the question.

Phil. 2:13 - God works in believers to will and act according to His will.
This needs to be harmonized with Col. 1:22-23, “But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel.”
Harmonization: God works in believers to make them holy and blameless, if they continue in saving faith.

I hope you see how harmonization of Scripture is done.
Would you like to take a turn with some more of what you cited,
harmonizing them with verses I cited?

It makes a flat statement, with no room for contradiction. Thank you for your response!

Here is the passage:

Col. 3:1-4

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

There is nothing in the verbiage to suggest this is all-encompassing. You simply want it to be and have convinced yourself that it is not general in nature. I doubt you would use such nonsensical reasoning in regard to other passages.

Is James 1:27 a "flat statement"? Be honest.

I just take it for what it says, that's how I read the Bible. If you've risen with Christ, you shall appear with Him. And so it shall be!

There are so many being plagued by a critical spirit, I've noticed. This environment is conducive to it, I do suppose.

critical
expressing adverse or disapproving comments or judgements:

Are those that served 'well' in service of the temple those that kept the courtyard the prettiest? Will their reward be Who will be promoted to the seats of judgment? Those that kept themselves from the defilement of women... why does that saying bring to mind filthy rags?

Happy Resurrection Day!

"Shall I bring to birth and not bring forth? (Is 66:9)"

And it just struck me that a woman with child needn't be concerned with any filthy rags.
