That only affects one motor (the blower motor)....not the other 2 which is the evaporator and the compressor.
But you need to understand where to install it. Every machine is different....only a QUALIFIED electrician can do it.....its NEVER a DIY project.
Since I moved to America I never had to worry about this in the land of abundance and opportunity.

In Europe, when I visit and get a rental car, all the locals annoy me by saying “turn off the car cos you got AC running … to save gas”.
And I tell them: I’m here as a tourist guys. I enjoy all the nice things your country has to offer and I leave you with all your problems when I go home.
And I’d appreciate it if you put some ice in this sparkling water.

And do you really know how many farauds it requires to correct a power factor? What is the power factor?Duh, refrigerant/HVAC/electrical certified for 40+ years.
That's math....determined by a scope. Simply throwing in a 1kUF 240v capacitor is not going to work out. It's usually just a waste of money and a point of possible failure.
That's why you need an electrician who simply can't stand sitting at a desk designing electrical systems. (Real electrical Engineer)
This is not something your usual electrician or hvac tech can perform.
The better option is having an automatic capacitor bank for the whole house on the MDP....it adjusts the amount of capacitance depending on load and inductance.
