We made mistakes and sometimes we regret it and never want to learn from it.
Regrets make us less as a person if you continue living on it.
One of my regrets is when the day I choose to expect- expect to be loved back of what I deserve.

I so can relate to this. Expectations in anything can lead to regret, and regret can lead to self-pity.

The liberating part of being Christian, the power of faith, having the conviction that God will supply us with what we "need."
 
When we give up our lives to Christ, we actually give up all rights to ourselves. We must only have expectations of Him to give us what He chooses us to have. There is a great peace in that as BibleReader mentioned.

But never forget that "mercy and goodness shall follow you all the days of your life". :)
