I remember the weeds I was made to pull in the days of childhood.
And not remembering the names of the blooms when asked what they were.
I remember flowers - Geraniums - the youngest child was called up every year to take one and give it to Mom.
I remember roses on Prom night, with tears in Mom's eyes.
I remember carnations and sunshine.
I remember my Mom.
I remember the devastation I felt when she died.
In the three years prior, my cactus failed to bloom.
Yet, suddenly, I noticed that tragic week, it was blooming brighter than ever before.
I remember the roses on the casket.
I remember the tears.
I remember her sharing the fear she was experiencing.
I remember her strength.
I'll never forget her faith.
For it is mine.
We divided her remaining plants...the June hosta, carrying her name.
I've shared it with others several times since I planted it nearly ten years ago.
And the ivy.
The beautiful Ivy...that blooms today.
I remember you, Mom. I love you...and greatly anticipate the day we see each other again.
Thank you for all you were on earth.
For all the days I didn't seem to remember or understand, I'm sorry.
I've always known deep inside the most beautiful gifts I have came from you.
Happy Mother's Day!

Oh my this is so touching it made me cry, bless you. Your mom rests in the arms of Jesus.
