I wish CC forums were free of those who do not know how to handle such confessions in a Godly manner, and for encouragement of their brothers and sisters. I fear, however, that they are not. Such a forum might create guilt and arguments over whether guilt should be created.
 
Terrible idea for this website. In an ideal environment where everyone was united by the Spirit this would be fine. Unfortunately this would just create guilt and burdens for people seeing as everyone would want to get in a piece of the gossip to make it their business and judge each other. That scripture was meant for the church, not a public spectacle in a place full of self-righteousness.
 
The thing about confession, it shouldn't be followed by commentary. It isn't something that should be nitpicked about. Naturally an open forum means it's going to be discussed, by everyone. Everyone will have to get a word in, even if it's none of their business. It leaves no place for discernment on whether someone is living as your brother or sister in Christ before you share with them.
