this is the great shame of the dispensationalist mess - Jesus has to take a back seat to supposed national Israel.
dispie systems can not cope with the idea that Jesus is the True Israel of God and only those in Him are the Israel of God.

Actually that is one of their arguments, Is that scofield believed jews were saved by law, which I looked at. and found was not true.

How can Jesus sitting on the throne in jerusalem as king of isreal ruling the WORLD with an rod of iron, (which the OT prophets claim he WILL DO) mean Jesus takes a back seat.

Everything what is eternal is about Christ.

It can be eternal only because it is spiritual, not physical.

As I said Gen 17 means nothing. It said ETERRNAL

All joshua did was prove that God kept his promise, and gave them ALL he said they would have.

It does not mean GOD STOPPED. fulfilling his ETERNAL promise

That is quite funny considering a few pages back someone said that Jesus wasn't even Jewish. Jesus isn't in the backseat at all.He's right where He belongs. The Messiah,to the Jews first and then the Gentiles.The true GOD OF ISRAEL.

Including a promise he gave to national Isreal. That he NEVER offered or gave to ANYONE ELSE, Including you and I.

and that promise still stands today, If you do not believe it does. Then you do not belive what you just admited.

He is the true God of all and everything, not just Israel.

Lets use this line of reasoning with eternal life.

The moment a person places their faith in God, God gives them eternal life (he kept his promise, just like Johsua showed he did)


from that moment on, Nothinig is assured, God kept his promise, Whether you make it to heaven or not is not assure. The thing he called eternal. it means nothing, He kept his word, your on your own.

EG, all the death and war and millions dying lost for all eternity....so a few jews (?) can claw their ways into the 'land" (still lost and dying in their sins)....so God can finally fulfill His promise....because He made a mistake when He recorded that He DID give them all He promised - the land promise fulfilled, but nothing to do with eternal life.....just waves of humanity slaughtered on both sides.....so unbelievers can die lost.

The promise went to the "seed", which is the Christ. Not to "seeds" which would mean physical children of Abraham (Arabs, Palestinians, Jews...).

The Law, that came 430 years later, cannot change the promise made to Christ. Law, dealing with the Israel and the physical land, physical Jerusalem, was only a shadow of Christ and till the Christ.

Abraham knew it and was awaiting the heavenly land, this was the real promise.

You are messing the eternal (spiritual) with the shadow.

But if 200 years from now they repent, And God restors them, You will not be thrilled

Imagine, God was so patient, He kept his promise after thousands of years of rebellion.. Tell me that is nothign to be thrilled about.

The promise he made to Abraham - all nations will be blessed in his seed.

Israel, Jerusalem, Law was just a physical shadow of spiritual reality, till the seed came.

No, I am not missing the eternal perspective. That had nothing t do wiith land.

You kknow. God punished Isreal for nothing,, Lev 26 means nothing. Why did God treat that nation the way He did, If it all meant NOTHING< because it was all to Christ anyway.

Again I repeat.

Eternal LIFE has NOTHING TO DO WITH LAND.. NOTHING.

if it did, no one was saved before the land was given/

Leviticus is Law.

Law was till the Christ.

Land was the physical shadow of the heavenly land.

Its the Christianity...

That has nothing to do with the promise above, Isreal and the land was a seperate promise.. I give you this land as an eternal inheritance.

If eternity has not ended, and the land still exists, and God does not keep that promise then God lied. Period.

Old covenant was also "eternal" and ended when Christ came. So I am not sure why do you think that "eternal" must mean never ending.

Jerusalem, Canaan, Israel... all were shadows.

Canaan - heaven
Israel - church
Egypt - world
etc
