Right, which is why I figured whatever you were using had a hiccup lol. I use Grid 3 and it will sometimes misprint what I want it to say kinda like that.I thought you was joking because it was blank, that is why I laughed![]()
We have already diligently inquired of @Beekeeper @HeIsHere @Churchgoer as to the TRIGGER that ushers in the Second Coming.
And we have discussed the primary PURPOSE of the Second Coming of Christ in power and great glory (hint: to rescue and deliver His wife the Nation Israel).
So ask yourself: What excuse remains to them?
Mat 24:29
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

And there is me who believes in the second coming of Christ but that the Kingdom will be on earth - that no one is going to be taken to an other worldly place called HeavenI may be wrong, but I think everyone else besides HeIsHere knows there's going to be a Second Coming. I think the others you mentioned just believe that Jesus is returning to collect his believers to take them straight to Heaven and punish everyone else on the earth and that it's immediately over after that.

If your understanding of those chapters go against the rest of scripture then I suggest your understanding of it is wrongHow about the entire chapters of Ezekiel 40 through chapter 48?!

Hieron usually refers to the entire temple complex, including courts and surrounding structures, while naos refers to the sanctuary proper, the dwelling place of God.In the New Testament there are two words used for temple in the Greek.
hieron - which is a physical building, temple of Jerusalem
and:
naos -
1) used of the temple at Jerusalem, but only of the sacred edifice
2) used in the epistles and in the book of Revelation to designate the body of Christ, the Church which is the holy of holies where God now dwells
Not distinguishing between the two is the cause of much error
that is a common misunderstanding of 2 Peter, just like after the flood there was a new world - a new constitution, then also is there gong to be a new order of thing, but the world will stand forever. The word translated elements is elsewhere translatedI suggest you read Revelation 21 & 22. They mention that there will be no temple in the New Jerusalem/Heaven. It also says that there will be no more sun or moon. God/Jesus is the light of Heaven and the temple in Heaven. Heaven isn't going to resemble the earth as we know it. It will pass away, like God/Jesus said it would, especially in 2 Peter 3:10.

Thank you - you always put things much better than I canHieron usually refers to the entire temple complex, including courts and surrounding structures, while naos refers to the sanctuary proper, the dwelling place of God.
Because of that distinction, New Testament writers can use naos metaphorically for Christ's body (John 2:21), the individual believer (1 Cor. 6:19), and the Church (1 Cor. 3:16-17; Eph. 2:21).
However, naos is not exclusively symbolic.
It is also used of the literal sanctuary in Jerusalem and the heavenly temple in Revelation.
So the key is not to assume that every occurrence of "temple" means the same thing.
The context must determine whether the author is speaking of the temple complex (hieron), the sanctuary (naos), the Church, Christ's body, or a heavenly reality.
That distinction can indeed prevent a great deal of interpretive error.
