Based on research I just posted, you can blame Rome for creating amillennialism as a SYSTEM.

It does not make sense to "telescope" old testament tribes into the future.
There is no divide between the tribes of Judah and Ephraim anymore, nor do people know to which one they belong.
It is not possible to make reconciliation between tribes that no longer exist.

When you get to the next chapter (Ezekiel 38) there is a list of old Testament tribes involved:

MAGOG - Syria and southern Scythia, center of the Seleucid Empire (confirmed by Pliny, Josephus, and Grotius).
MESCHECH - Moschi, a Scythian tribe of North-Central Armenia; later called Cappadocians in the New Testament.
TUBAL - Thobelites, Scythians of eastern Armenia and northern Syria, later called Iberians in the New Testament.
PERSIA - A well-known nation that was located in today’s Iran.
ETHIOPIA - The African nation.
LIBYA - The northern African nation.
GOMER - A tribe of central Armenia, later called Galatians in the New Testament.
TOGARMAH - A tribe of southwestern Armenia, later called Phrygians in the New Testament.
SHEBA - Arabic tribe
DEDAN - Arabic tribe
TARSHISH - The northern Mediterranean coastal peoples stretching from Italy to Spain. Later, a seaport in Spain.

Some of these tribes continues into the early NT, and Persia Ethiopia and Libya have some sort of modern representation, but to "telescope" the whole lot into the future along with OT warfare, weapons and burying practices would be prophetic monkeying.
That does not mean it all has no relevance to the present and future, but relevance does not mean a repeat of the exact same thing.

The dividing of Israel’s tribes in the ot and promose to make them one again is a pattern for Jew and gentile in the nt e wing made one group.

These people just have zero understanding about Bible prophecy and I can't understand why anyone would be a postmillennialist.

They are probably seeing the progression through the book

and remembering prophecy about Christ in the ot as a rider with a bow and arrows judging the people with wrath or trampling the wine press of wrath having his clothes covered in blood or maybe just seeing this later in the book

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; ( he rode out to conquer now he’s wearing many crowns ) and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. anyone realizing who’s behind the chaos could possibly consider the white horse and rider being Jesus as the plan of victory began

The preacher is Dr James Tour. He is a brilliant scientist, a fervent evangelist and knowledgeable about Israel's place in God's plan and purpose. It is quite long, but well worth hearing. Replacement people don't listen. You will have to change your minds if you do.

There is no replacement covenant of God, in that the Jew is replaced by the Christian as the people of God. The Jew can also repent and be grafted in again to the holy Israel and nation of Jesus Christ.

Rom 11:23
And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

Romans 11 is all about the false accusation of new Christians, that the Jews are forever cut off without redemption, for having Jesus Christ crucified. That is false, even as Paul points out that he himself is also an Israelite after the flesh.

The Old covenant was made dead by Christ's crucifixion, and the wholly New covenant is now made alive through His resurrection. Likewise the OT law of Moses is done away, with the HT law of Christ now preached by His apostles.

Nor do the NT Christians replace the Jews as the people of God, but are added with the Jews, that repent of Jesus' death and live by His faith toward God.

Rom 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Acts{11:18}
When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

And so, the covenant of God by the promised seed Christ is no longer to the natural Jew only, but also to the spiritual circumcision among all nations.

Rom 2:28
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

However the promise of land to Abraham personally, and his natural seed, must still be fulfilled at the second coming of the LORD. That land division and royal priesthood to the inwardly and outwardly circumcised Jew, is prophesied in Ezek 40+.

The LORD promised the land to Abraham himself, not only His natural seed, which he did not recieve in his days on earth. Therefore, the LORD must raise Abraham from the dead to keep His promise of land at His return.

Gen 17:8
And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

Heb 11:13
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Yes, I am quite familiar with this information.

This is what it comes down to for me and I think it reasonable to view it this way.

Covenant theology, preterism, partial preterism and historicism, ( I will concede) are reasonable conclusions if one picks up the Bible and reads for oneself.


A person has to be taught dispensationalism (except for the ones who found a way to create it as a system) and it is a system completely based on clever eisegesis.

Obviously, the idea that Protestants thought that the Pope is tied to the Anti-Christ has been circulating around a lot longer than even I thought.
