Is it normal for someone's reputation to suddenly jump 28 or so points because of one 'rep' added?
 
I believe how many rep points are added is equal to the "rep power" of the person who clicks the rep button.

Hmm I haven't had this happen to me before >.> I've gone up to 5 rep power (was 4 until just recently) and my reputation points has gone up about 3 points. (And hopefully since you asked it doesn't look like I'm bragging >.>)
