Resurrection question

Can anyone explain something to me concerning the resurrection?

We have Jesus telling the righteous 3 places in John 6 that he will "raise them up at the last day." We also have Martha discussing her knowledge that (Lazarus) would be raised up at the last day in John 11:24. This was of course before Jesus brought him back to life. The confusion I have is with what Jesus says in John 12:48.

48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him--the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day - NKJV.

Is this the same last day? If it is, then I don't understand how the wicked who are dead can be raised and judged on the same day that the dead in Christ are supposedly Raptured as we know the wicked are not judged until the Great White Throne at the end of the millennium.
 
Yes...the reason why is because there is no such thing as a rapture. There will be a third temple that will be rebuilt in Israel, the antichrist will present himself there as the Almighty ruler...this is the false return. After this the true Messiah will come and overthrow the false Messiah. He will claim all authority and the resurrection and judgement will occur at that time. The book of revelations is not what hollywood has made it to be. That book is about the destruction of the 2nd temple. Nice researching btw!! :)

yes, it's the SAME DAY....because:

there's no Millennium.

it goes like this:

First Advent...salvation....THE LAST DAY = Second Advent/Resurrection/Judgment - then eternity - New Jerusalem.

when you see that there's no future 1,000 years, EVERYTHING just clears up completely.

it's not easy, if you've been trying to make a millennium fit. but if you can just lay aside those current thoughts and consider what is posted (from the Word) - all the confusion will vanish.
 
What you've stumbled on is actually proof that "at the last day" is not a technical term for the end of all time or reference to one specific day. It actually just means generally "in the end." In other words Jesus says that for sure everyone will be resurrected and for sure everyone will be judged in the end. It's simply saying that Jesus' will be the ultimate judge. You can see why it can't be a technical term because the events don't fit with Rev. as far as a chronology. Peace
