One way to get a really good understand of what it means to become "in Christ", "made righteous", is to think of it as returning to 1st Adam.

They are revealing the authority, the context, and the Truth.

That is ETERNAL Life.
Eternal Life, is JESUS HIMSELF.
So, Christ THE Lord tells you that if you give God your Faith, and "faith is counted as righteousness""".... then Christ Gives you ETERNAL LIFE. So, right here we realize that Eternal LIFE< is not a TIME Period.
Jesus said to all the born again....."All that believe in me, = i give unto you Eternal Life, and you shall never perish".

The reason my Threads and often my response posts are usually pretty detailed, is because on every Forum i'm on, and before every group i teach, in this world, there are always a few sincere seekers regarding gaining God's abundant wisdom as found: as Revelation of the word.
These people are like a person who is very thirsty and when they find a Drink that is God filled, they immerse, and they want to drink more.
This type believer is not the usual, and this type person won't live the usual Christian experience of redundant spiritual failure combined with worldliness, pretending to be "a good christian".
This person wont have a group mentality, they will have a God mentality.
This person's God is not their opinion, as you find is the error of so many. But rather this person is under authority, and that authority is the Word of God.
They are not that interested in church service, tho they probably go........ as they are more interested in how to personally serve the Lord perfectly.
They are seeking not more of the same, but a continual revelation of the word , and what it means to be "made righteous".
These are the 2% of Christianity that actually are in the real faith.
So, because i know that God sends them to me, and me to them, i try to sort of keep to the main theme when i THREAD or respond here or teach a group , yet, offer a lot of little extra's within my teaching, for that special 1 or 2 or 3 on a Christian Forum, who make up the 2% of the total membership that are into the Light and wanting more of it.
Reader, God desires to live His Life through all His redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb, but He only calls those who are hungry for the word, who are of that type........ because.... they will truly serve Him.
God knows the heart.

We are all told by Paul to be invested in getting the "milk of the word", and that is about as far as most will make it.
But that rare one...That St Francis, or that Mary of Egypt, ...they were always always deeply and profoundly wanting more and more of GOD, more of the Lord and more of the Truth.
Some who are deceived will tell you that Christianity is all about chasing commandments. But God will tell you that its about existing in THE Truth.
Reader, Jesus is all THAT, and when you want more of Him, He has always more for you.
Colossians 2:3. "all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ".....not in a seminary, not in a Pope, not in a "greek text", and not in a Protestant commentary.
When you want more of God, then you go to Jesus and get more of Him.
Jesus is God.
And when you want to know the bible, you find a good teacher, and you study Paul's epistles.
Paul said..>"be a follower of Me as i follow Christ".. 1 Corinthians 11:1

Ok, here is how to understand >"born again"....in the ETERNAL context of God telling the 1st Adam in Genesis that "you will surely Die" if you do what i told you not to do.
See this word "die"?
Well, God is telling Adam, this....(paraphrase)...." My Son, you are created with my Holy Spirit and are made with My Righteousness", and this is why you are in "our Image". ("Our"= is God, Jesus the WORD, and the Holy Spirit)....And if you disobey my word, then this that you do, = your personal choice to disobey me.... will SEPARATE My Holy Spirit from your Spirit."
Now, see that SEPARATION?
That is the effect of disobedience.
That disobedience separated Adam's "One with God" spiritual existence, and left both Adam and Eve, with a "dead" spirit.
Yet, this is not in the sense that they had no spirit. As both had one remaining, but it was DEAD to GOD. It was DEAD to being Righteous. Their spirit had become parted from the Almighty Spirit........See. "God is "A" Spirit", and when we are born again, we are born again INTO the Spirit of God, by The Holy Spirit.
"Salvation"
Spiritual UNION with God's Holy Spirit had been broken, because of Adam's Disobedience.

SALVATION< is the 2nd Adam, who is God, coming to REJOIN US by : "new birth" of a person's (dead) spirit"< = back to God's Spirit.
This is "reconciliation" regained that is the reason for John 3:16 and the "preaching of the Cross".... Its the LITERAL Spiritual ACT of God's Holy Spirit, BIRTHING a separated or DEAD spirit in an unbeliever, BACK INTO GOD's Spirit, as a "new Creation" "in Christ". 2nd Corinthians 5:11-21

That's why you go to Heaven or not. That is Jesus saying.....>"you MUST be born again".
That is ETERNAL LIFE.
Eternal life Is Christ, and to be birthed into God, "in Christ", is to now exist IN the Holy Spirit of Eternal God.
See it? That is "eternal Life" found and kept.
Now notice,...... both the unbelievers and the born again, have a spirit that never actually dies.
What happens is.....in both cases their body dies, releasing the Spirit, and the unbeliever's spirit enters eternal "2nd Death", and the born again continue to exist as born again as "One with God" as their "eternal Life".
After death, all the born again meet God as FATHER.."Abba"< and all the unbelievers after death meet God as eternal JUDGE. John 3:36
Notice that existing in God's Spirit, is Eternal LIFE, because GOD is Life,

So, when we become "ONE with God, in Christ" by being born again, we become Spiritually Joined to God's Holy Spirit.
We exit there, IN This Eternal Life, who IS Christ.
Its the same spiritual union that Adam originally had with God, and he threw away by choice.
So, when we CHOOSE Jesus, by faith,..... God "births" our "dead" spirit BORN AGAIN into His HOLY Spirit, which is our "Redemption", our "Sonship", and our "Eternal Life".
This is "the GIFT of Salvation" which is the GIFT of God. Ephesians 2:8
The Gift of Salvation, this "gift of Righteousness" returns us to the exact spiritual union with God that Adam had before he lost it.
Its Christ the 2nd Adam, who is our righteousness...... "the righteousness of God IN Christ", that is this restoration.
2nd Adam restoring us to 1st Adam.

Regarding all the Unbelievers, .....their spirit also never dies, but it does not exit in God's Holy Spirit... So, it exists as unholy in that place of 1st Adam that is : "you shall surely die".

That is also a Spiritual eternal reality. Its is defined as the "2nd DEATH".
The 2nd Death, is hell, the lake of fire, as the eternal life found as dying without THE LIFE in them, who is JESUS.
So that is how you define Eternal Life.
Its God's Spirit.
And the 2nd Death is defined as the unforgiven "dead" spirit, that continues to exist forever, yet not with God, and not in Heaven.
Finally,
If you are not a believer, or if you are a (water baptized only) deceived religious person, and Christ is not in you, when Jesus who is Eternal Life told you that you: "Must be Born again",.. then you need to get this resolved, reader.
You need to find your Faith in Christ and let God have it TODAY, so that Jesus comes to live in you as your ETERNAL LIFE..
