The 7 heads are 1.Egypt 2.Assyria 3.Babylon 4.Medo-Persia 5.Greece. 6.The Roman Empire 7.The ten horn kingdom,the world split in to ten sections with a leader in each section,which the 4th kingdom of Daniel 7 shall devour the whole earth,tread it down,and break it in pieces,and the beast shall have power over all nations,kindreds,and tongues.
5 kingdoms have fallen,the first 5.1 is in operation when John wrote Revelation,the Roman Empire.1 is still to come,and will continue for a short space,three and one half years,and then they hand their power over to the 8th king,and that is how he gets control of the world,who rules for three and one half years.
The 8th king is of the 7 kings,for the devil influenced those 7 kingdoms.
Daniel had a vision of 4 beasts,kingdoms,that were diverse from each other,which are the 4 ways of people,going by their own religion,being physically cruel,going by their own wisdom,and pushing for power,control of the earth.
Although all 4 kingdoms went by the 4 ways of people,there was one of those ways that was their chief mode of operation,and that is how they were different from each other.
1.Babylon,Lion,which represents human religion.King Nebuchadnezzar proclaimed throughout his kingdom to acknowledge the God of Israel,and Babylon rode on eagle's wings,but when the king died,and his son took the throne he knew what his father believed,but took the vessels out of the temple of the LORD,and drank out of them praising false gods,and the kingdom was stripped from them,and given to the Medes and Persians.
The eagle's wings were stripped,they lost the revelation of God,and was made to stand upon the feet as a man,and a man's heart was given to it,and Babylon was then known as the kingdom of man.
2.Medo-Persia,Bear,represents physical cruelty,arise and devour much flesh.Was raised upon one side for the Persian influence was more dominant in that union,and had 3 ribs in the mouth of it,which may be the 3 kingdoms they conquered,Babylon,Egypt,and Lydia.
3.Greece,Leopard,represents human religion.Had wings of a fowl which means they might have flew above the common nation in higher medicine,mathematics,etc,but not as high as when Babylon flew on eagle's wings.It had 4 heads,and dominion was given to it.When Alexander the Great died his kingdom was split up between 4 generals.
4.The Roman Empire,iron,represents pushing for power,control of the earth.It had ten horns,which is the world split in to ten sections with a leader in each section,and the little horn comes from the ten horns,so the little horn comes from the Roman Empire,which the ten horns is the physical dominion of the beast kingdom.
The Roman Empire does not lose their dominion until God puts them down,which they shall devour the whole earth,tread it down,and break it in to pieces.
The first 3 kingdoms will never have dominion again,but their lives were prolonged for a season,and time,which mean their ways are still on earth,and they all show up at the beast kingdom.
The beast kingdom is the kingdom of man in its entirety,for they acknowledge no God,but believe in spiritual evolution through nature,and the exaltation of people.
All kingdoms before that was not the kingdom of man in its entirety,and all 4 kingdoms had one of those 4 ways of man as their chief mode of operation,with the other 3 in a minor role,whatever proportion they were.
But they all show up in their chief mode of operation,with no minor mode of operation,at the beast kingdom,for it is the kingdom of man in its entirety.
The beast kingdom has ten horns,the physical dominion,the chief mode of the Roman Empire,with the ways of a Lion,Babylon,the chief mode of them,human wisdom,with the ways of a Leopard,Greece,the chief mode of them,human wisdom,with the ways of a Bear,Medo-Persia,the chief mode of them,physical cruelty.
The beast kingdom controlling the world,going only by their own religion,their own wisdom,and being physically cruel to take away all who oppose them,with no input from God,that is why it is over,and God will put them down.
Babylon in Revelation is not physical Babylon,for they will never have physical dominion again,but it is Babylon in spirit,for she represents human religion,and the occult,and the kingdom of man,which is what the beast kingdom is about.
In Babylon is found all the slain upon earth,which physical Babylon could not be responsible for that,so it is Babylon in spirit,for every person in the history of mankind either belongs to the kingdom of God,or Babylon,the kingdom of man.
The dominion is the Roman Empire that caused all nations to come together,which they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men,with the Babylonian spirit.
In Revelation 12 the dragon has 7 heads,and ten horns,and the crowns are on the heads,which means Satan in the spiritual realm deceiving people,war breaks out in heaven and the dragon and his angels are cast to earth,which the earth becomes the habitation of devils,and Satan appears as the beast,controlling the man of sin,and the beast has 7 heads,and ten horns,and the crowns are on the horns,which means Satan in the physical realm deceiving people.
