Satan is bound from one specific purpose (Deceive The Nations) this isnt general deception, or all evil on earth as many Millennialist falsely claim, its (Deceive The Nations) to the final battle as clearly interpreted in Rev 20:7-8 & Rev 16:12-15 below, just prior to the second coming.

(Scripture Interprets Itself, Before Your Eyes)

Revelation 20:3KJV
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

As is "Clearly Seen" (Deceive The Nations) is to battle, the seal and binding of Satan is seen in the 6th Vial, Rev 16:12 that must be poured out, then he is loosed to (Deceive The Nations)

Revelation 20:7-8KJV
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Rev 16:12-15 below, is a "Parallel" teaching of Rev 20:7-8, the 6th vial is poured out, Satan is loosed.

(The Deception) is devils going forth to the Kings of the Nations, to gather them to battle, the 6th vial below was the binding of Satan, from this one specific purpose (Deceive The Nations) to battle, as verse 15 is the (Second Coming)

Rev 16:12-15KJV
12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

As far as I can tell you are right.

Starting in Revelation 13, the devil, beast, and false prophet appear to wage war (Rev. 13:7). The beast, false prophet, and their followers are wiped out by Revelation 19:19-21 having been thrown into a lake of fire.

Revelation 20:1-6 is Satan bound.

Revelation 20:7-10 says:

7And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

So important points here: the beast, false prophet, and the remainder of their followers were already slain in Revelation 19:20-21 after Armageddon.

So where do the individuals from Gog and Magog come from? Well, the beast, false, prophet and remainder of their followers are gone already. So... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So either the part about the battle of Gog and Magog is saying they come back from the lake of fire somehow (impossible), they are entirely different large group of corrupted individuals, or Revelation 16:12-15 and Revelation 20:7-8 are parallel teachings as you just pointed out.

The only explanation that makes any sense to me is the one you just pointed out.

The book of Revelation is seen in "Parallel" teachings of the same events, not chronological as many falsely teach.

The battle of Armageddon, and Gog and Magog are the same battle

Do you believe Satan gathering the Nations in Rev 16:12-14 & Rev 20:7-8 are two separate events?

You will closely note the 7th Trump and 7th Vial are parallel teachings of the same event

In Rev 16:17 (It Is Done) and Rev 11:15 (He Shall Reign For Ever And Ever) is the end

You will closely note that Rev 16:18 & Rev 11:19 are the same event

You will closely note the final judgement takes place in Rev 11:18

Conclusion: Revelation 16:17 at the battle of Armageddon the 7th Vial is poured out, (It Is Done) is the end, there will be no Millennial Kingdom following the Battle of Armageddon.

As Previously Stated, the battle of Armageddon & Gog and Magog are the same battle in Parallel teachings

Revelation 16:12-21KJV
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Revelation 11:15-19KJV
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
