Admittedly the book of Revelations is a difficult book and I am not entirely sure that anyone has got it all right, including me, and because of that I will also avoid an in-depth argument in chat rooms. I respect that others opinions differ and that they are or have struggled to arrive at where they are in the matter. I also accept that some may feel the need to thwart this post but I present this only as a view that was not known to me until about 10 years ago. Prior to that I was a dispensationalist in my view, believeing in the multiple comings of Christ (or the secret rapture) as one who believe in the pre-tribulation rapture.
I wish only to set it out there for those still struggling through Revelation and you may use this to bolster your own view or just be educated in other people's opinion. However, I will state again, that do to the expansive nature of the arguments I will not enter into any long debate in a chat room. Though I may entertain phone call conversations or if one is close by a face to face.
That being said, I myself have found the most comfort and consistency with the recapitulation view of the book also known by other names such as parallelism, etc. I find this view consistent with the introductory of the book that the book is written for me and the strengthening of my faith as opposed to being relegated to a simple curiosity for me and of extreme help to some future group.

The point of particular interest is how the book is divided in cyclical sections, each ending in some manner. A side note is that some folks divide it into 8 cycles rather than seven but again this site is a simple overview of the main idea.
To me one of the strongest evidences of this view is Revelation 12 which seems to stop the modern progressive view of Revelation and back track at the beginning of it. Rev 12 also corresponds very nicely to the words of Christ in John 12.
In both passages we have the foretelling of Christ's victory:

The nations flow into the kingdom as Christ promises in John 12 and evidenced by what is recorded in Rev 12 Christ has been lifted up who rules the nations.
Later Rev. repeats this that Satan has been cast him into the bottomless pit...so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.
Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Satan is bound from accusing the brethren in Heaven as he did of Old in recorded scripture and so he is bound on earth not to deceive the nations.
Herein are the rulers we wrestle against are bound up where it says that Christ has made you alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. This is the great story and the one that all men (Jew and Gentile) are invited into.
There are also two women in view in Revelation. The woman of faith and the harlot. These are no different that the women of OT history of the righteous woman and the harlot.
The OT describes Jezebel, delilah, etc in opposition to Ruth, Ester, etc.
Proverbs also recalls the harlot and the faithful woman. These are the faithful in contrast to the wicked who have serve other gods.
If these are pictures of the faithful bride of Christ and the wicked then likewise we should see it in the NT and indeed the church is called to be faithful to our husband as it said "For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ."
Herein I have made the point that the 144,000 of Rev. 7 is made up of the Church universal represented in the passage as both the tribes of Israel and uncountable number of the nations (12 tribes x 12 apostles x multitude = 144000). Then it should be no surprise that in the context of the imagery of Revelation that these are virgins following their husband (the lamb) in Revelation 14.
The list goes on but I will stop with this one last picture which are a series of variations on the theme of being prepared for and united in Christ.
The scripture says that we are the body of Christ and at the same time elsewhere the analogy is used that we are spiritual stones being made into a spiritual house. This too is in Revelations. For it says we are pillars in the Temple of God in Heaven, yet it says later that in heaven there is no Temple in Heaven for Christ is there and he is the Temple.
This blessed picture of consummation and unity is also in the OT when Solomon builds the temple. The stones are quarried and shaped outside the city. The anguish the stones undergo to be shaped and built into a spiritual house does not occur on the glorious site. But is the point of God mentioning this just so that engineers marvel at the precision that must have occurred to make this possible. No, for the spiritual house that we are being prepared for will be glorious and our shaping will be complete when we arrive in the glorious City of God to the Temple of God - Christ in heaven. We (the redeemed of Jew and Gentile) are the bride that once longed for the great day in absence from her betrothed, as in the parable of the ten virgins, now being united with the groom as one flesh for which time we have remained as chaste virgins.
You see Revelation holds great faith-building messages for us today beyond this simple continuity of the whole Counsel of God that I am presenting but one must first accept the continuity of the whole counsel in order to accept the message even as the Jews must still accept the continuity of Christ.

The resurrection could not have happened in the first century because the fulness of the Gentiles have not come in,which means that God gave the Gentiles a certain amount of time to be right with Him to partake in the salvation with the Jews,in which Jesus said salvation is of the Jews,and when God takes them home,which would include all Gentile and saved Jews,all Gentile nations will fall and God will turn to physical Israel to restore the kingdom to them,which we still see Gentile nations in operation,so the fulness of the Gentiles have not come in,which means God is not dealing with the Gentiles for salvation anymore,which God is dealing with the Gentiles for salvation.
There is only 2 resurrections.One for all the saved people,both Old and New Testament saints,and one at the great white throne judgment,who will be judged by their conscience and a belief in God.
16But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

The church doesn't have anything to do with this world, aside from being salt to preserve some decency before the end.
The church is fully functional - she is the assembly of lively stones, the called-out ones from among the world. The Lord's kingdom is not of this world.
The church needs sound doctrine. good food from the Good Shepherd, and those faithful pastors he has set over His flock.

you know Paulnsilas, i don't know you and I don't know why you believe in Jesus as your Lord and savior but can sit idly by as the world suffers claiming that spiritual warfare is occult one minute and then agreeing with something PPS says the next AFFIRMING that spiritual warfare exists.

Give me then your testimony of why you have faith and why you believe in Jesus and HOW you are abiding in His word now?
God will do whatever He wants, what if what He wants is for us to FUNCTION in the guidelines HE has given us in the Bible as a Church and as ONE body?.

So someone asked me how you can tell if the spirit was from God or not?
You test them with the above prayer and GOD will make it evident as He did in this case by showing HOW that spirit LIES and goes against the Bible, the truth and plus after praying that prayer. I could see the spirit but no longer HEAR it. which means I KNEW it was not of GOD.
Just a learning experience, but the next question is WHY did the spirit bother lying to me and HOW could he say the name of Jesus with no fear? was it an illusion?
I will have to pray to God about it all.
It does illustrate a point though. Spirits will be tricky and give you half truths meaning they will use the BIBLE and TWIST the words or leave out IMPORTANT portions or take it out of Context to make you believe they are from GOD, but eventually they will contradict their story, or flat out LIE.
they will use fear tactics, bribery, pride, etc to get you to bend to their will.
all you have to do is PRAY to GOD to SAVE you and HE WILL.
when i wrote the above statement my heart was troubled and I KNEW something was not right, but what I didn't KNOW was WHY.
I asked God should I post this and He said:

lol so you see, if I don't agree with you immediately, I argue even with God to TEST and see if the voice I hear is TRULY HIM.

Who shall we reign over on the earth in that 1000 years.
　
(1) people that DO NOT take the mark of the beast we shall reign over.

No where does it say that Jesus is coming back with the saints. The elect is gathered up into heaven.

Great post. I agree that Christ will return after the 6th seal has been open at the 7th (last) trumpet. Many feel that Jesus will return before the Great Tribulation because the is a scripture that alludes to the fact that believers will not be subjected to God's wrath however, in Revelation God's wrath isn't poured out until after the 7th seal is broken when the "7 bowls of wrath" are poured out upon the earth.

What i still do not understand is how you do not have understanding about this part of the word and still say your a prophetess. And your talking about books and men. WENT all Gods people go to the prophets because they had the word of the Lord. And you do not have the word of the Lord. Just CANNOT understand that?

GOD BLESS you, KEEP praying and fasting about it and Christ will teach you, Revelations is the toughest of all the books in my opinion for someone to say: YEAH, I get it all... so don't fret, just seek heaven within you to be revealed I say, love Christ, serve Him, abide in the word indefinitely and HE will be there with you in heaven to explain it to you later... lol.. but yeah, you are loved... and lets just praise His name!!! For I may not be the smartest, brightest, but you know what, HE uses us in spite of us, when I decrease HE will increase within me.

I"m still learning and I praise God that HE sees into our hearts and not just our words are actions because some days it seems like God uses me despite all the things I do that seem to mess up. That is how I am reminded that GOD is in CONTROL and it is not me but GOD who does GOOD and makes things right. For without GOD anything done is not worth doing.I remember what God tells us:

Their are twelve tribes, each of 12,000. Then there were the multitudes that no man could number, those are the people who came out of the Great Tribulatoin. The 144,000 are God's elect, the multitude, which is probably way into the millions, are the people who faced the Great Tribulation and endured throughout.

wakeup you are making BLANKET Condemnations AGAIN. It is not for ALL churches as punishment is not for all people but only those who REFUSE to listen and REPENT. I'm not saying its not true about SOME churches and people less optimistic might say MOST but not ALL churches. what do you think people are refusing to SEE, DENY or not look at?
