Just to let you and @HeIsHere know..... Canada is pretty much doomed.
But south Korea TFR is 0.80 even worse than Tokyo.

People are "giving up". Giving up on the broken social contracts. Canada being a prime example.....but others far worse.

Tokyo TFR: Has plummeted below 1.0 (recently recorded at 0.96), meaning the capital city is effectively seeing a population "halving" with every new generation.

Statistics Canada confirming that the total fertility rate (TFR) has hit a historic low of 1.24 to 1.25 children per woman. This puts Canada firmly in the "ultra-low fertility" category (below 1.3).

To address your point on the "inevitable collapse" and the taxpayer-to-retiree ratio, let’s look at the actual projections for 2040 and beyond.

The Old-Age Dependency Ratio
The metric you are referring to is the Old-Age Dependency Ratio, which compares the number of people of "working age" (15–64) to those of "retirement age" (65+).
1970s: There were approximately 7.7 workers for every retiree.
2024: We are currently at roughly 3.3 workers per retiree.

2040 Projections: Statistics Canada and the OECD project that the proportion of seniors will reach approximately 23% to 25% of the population. This results in a ratio of roughly 2.1 to 2.4 workers for every one retiree.
Your estimation of 2 taxpayers for 1 retiree by 2040 is technically very close to the median projection.
South Korea’s situation is unprecedented in modern history. While Canada and Japan are concerned about a 1.24 TFR, South Korea has been operating in what demographers call "the death zone" for years.
As of early 2026, there is a slight "rebound" in the data, but the structural reality remains staggering.

The Current Stats (2025–2026)
Total Fertility Rate (TFR): Recently ticked up to 0.80 (from a historic low of 0.72 in 2023).
The "Rebound" Context: This is largely attributed to a post-COVID marriage boom and a specific "echo boom" generation (born in the early 90s) hitting their peak childbearing years.
Seoul's TFR: In the capital, the rate remains even lower, recently recorded at approximately 0.63.

How fast is the "Halving"?
Mathematically, a population "halves" when a generation produces only half as many children as itself.
The Generational Math: For a population to remain stable, the TFR must be 2.1.

The South Korea Speed: At a TFR of 0.70, each new generation is roughly one-third the size of the previous one (0.7 / 2.1 = 0.33).

The Result: If the rate stayed at 0.70 without immigration, the youth population would shrink by nearly 70% every 30 years.

The "60-Year Collapse": Experts warn that at these sustained levels, South Korea's total population (currently ~51 million) could be cut in half in just 60 years.

The 2040 Economic "Event Horizon"
While the total population decline is slow (because people are living longer), the working-age population is currently falling off a cliff.

Dependency Ratio: By 2040-2050, South Korea is projected to have the highest dependency ratio in the world.

The 1-to-1 Reality: By the mid-2060s, South Korea is expected to have nearly one retiree for every one worker. This is significantly more aggressive than Canada’s "2-to-1" projection for 2040.

Why South Korea is Different
Unlike Canada, South Korea does not use mass immigration to buffer these numbers. The "halving" is a raw, internal demographic contraction.
Infrastructure Stress: They are already closing hundreds of schools and university departments due to a lack of students.
The "Extinction" Simulator: Some extreme long-term models (extrapolating 0.7 TFR indefinitely) suggest the last South Korean could be born in the year 2400, though social structures usually break or reform long before that.

Canada isn't doomed, they could always secede and join US :)

And if they go in to denial we should forgive them and move on

Let's not be a crybaby and follow therm around begging them to acknowledge their wrongdoing

Be an adult. Forgive them and move on with your life.

Taking down Iran is in defense of the US.

They've been saying for years that they wanted to destroy us and they have been working to get nukes and long range missiles so they can nuke us. Only those void of understanding can't see that Iran is a threat to the US

Canadians are a bunch of hosers

I bet you have not traveled much outside the US.

They are just trying to find ways to shut down what is plainly obvious, you know like the line from the movie, "you can't handle the truth"

Smaller nations will fail, but it is a much longer way down for the empire.

So Trump was elected and took an oath to defend the US. You think that he isn't doing that and has betrayed his oath. But if it turns out that he is in fact doing that then you are the one who has betrayed the country. What you call an essential part of the healing process I call murmuring and complaining.

Phil 2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

Word: Treachery. Part of Speech: Noun. Meaning: The act of betraying someone or being disloyal. Synonyms: Betrayal, deception, treason.

Jude 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

He is in fact not defending the US. Preposterous. He is a servant of the people who lied to them about putting a stop to the endless wars in order to get elected. The bible describes such kings who betray the people who elected them and give their power to the beast.

It really is a shame how Canada is still just a grossly mismanaged colony in the 21st Century AD.
Buddy.....its a joke nation. Psychologically a basket case of unfounded pride, a baseless superiority complex, cringe worthy self-righteousness, delusions of massive debt burden being actual prosperity, stuck in an horrific inflationary bubble while wages and growth stagnant.

The government juiced the debt ponzi and immigration ponzi to redline and now the awful consequences.

So is the US btw.

Not sure why I responded to you, I will stop now, I have no respect for anything you say after you stated the girls/children who were trafficked by E***N were whores
Most of them are whores, I stand by it and am vindicated by the Files. That's how Ghislaine Maxwell recruited them, that's why they literally call her the madame. If this is not true she would not be in jail and Epstein would not be dead as I followed years before he actually died and also accurately told you and am vindicated on too. You don't really care about Epstein though let's just be real, you have long shown you'll just selectively dismiss and choose what to believe in the Files anyways. You have a whole topic for the can of worms, I'd note I told ya'll not to open that can of worms and what would happen if you did, and I am vindicated on that too, I haven't touched your little Epstein topic, go take your trash there, no sympathy for the whores from the virgin saints of God. In cup they filled up we are charged to fill to them double all the torments and sorrows they intended for us, praise Jesus
