I would say this war of choice will give Iran more impetus to develop the nuclear weapon not less.
When DJT tore up the deal they knew what was coming and it was certainly confirmed by attacks on Lebanon, Libya and Syria.

I think we had a discussion about immanence before where you asked me if I believed the kingdom was immanent; and I gave a "yes and no" answer. In terms of time, I have no idea about specific time frames of things happening; but in terms of space yes, it is immanent, it is near and could happen very quickly. So, my answer with respect to Iran is very similar. In terms of time, we probably had some more time, and maybe they would never make the weapons at all; but I would say their capability of becoming an immanent threat was immanent, if that make sense?

But what did they ask in return for that? And should we really give them anything for that? I'm not sure what the answers are to those questions... "pay me not to make weapons of mass destruction" is kind of a raw deal that probably nobody wants to be a part of if they don't have to be.

How much did they spend on efforts to enrich uranium while their country's water supply was being depleted, etc. ? Should they be rewarded for that? probably not, right?

Impetus isn't going to get them there when they don't have the enrichment facilities, etc. They're going to have other things to worry about- and that's even if there's not a revolution anyway.

Immanence is something else. Immanence is a theological topic, basically God's ability to interact within the Creation. Imminence is an impending certain thing to happen and swiftly too which I think you mean in your argument here (which is a good argument btw you're not wrong).

Though interestingly this topic displays both in the Iran Revolution. The imminent doom of Satan's children that we witnessed after they heinously massacred 30,000 Millennials and Gen Z and tried to lie about and dismiss it (and they still do to this day) is the primary reason for the strike.
