Once again this fits in completely with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD and the remnant>> spiritual Jerusalem/Israel and their protection against its enemies, not about a future millennium.
You read all these passages in literal sense without really grasping what is meant by idiomatic terms like" heaven and earth" and and the prophecy being given through figurative language like when God's/ Yahweh's feet stood on the Mount of Olives within the context of the entire chapter.
Please employ your literalistic hermeneutic to John the Baptist when he is quoting Isaiah,
Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth;
Isaiah 40:4

-who and what exactly is King Jesus reigning over?
-who and what is being governed?
-why is Christ the Greater David and Greater Solomon?
