Wow, how can you be this ignorant? Mary was betrothed to Joseph, in the ancient custom they considered being engaged being betrothed.

Shortly after Jesus' resurrection was Pentecost, that was the church's betrothal to Jesus. When Joseph is raised up out of the prison, that depicts resurrection. When he is made Prime Minister, that depicts ascension to the throne. Shortly after the Lord's ascension was Pentecost when Jesus was betrothed to the church and shortly after Joseph ascended to the throne as Prime Minister he was given his gentile wife.

Pentecost was Israel's betrothal to Jesus. Do you deny that the apostles, the 120 disciples and the 3000 who were baptized into Christ that day were Israel?

Again, Jesus doesn't have a bride until the resurrection, so he is not currently married to a "gentile bride" as the Christian neo-pharisees claim. And that bride will be all Israel, ie, the Israel of God
The wise and prudent will hear and watch prepare and keep their lamps lit, the foolish will contemptuously ridicule and ignore and bring no oil. Then comes the cry of joy, or the shock of dismay.

***********************************************************

The 12 Steps of the Hebrew Wedding Pattern

1️⃣ Shiddukh (שִׁדּוּךְ) – Arrangement / Match

The match is arranged between families.

Example often cited: the bride chosen for Isaac in Genesis 24.

2️⃣ Mohar (מֹהַר) – Bride Price

The groom pays the price for the bride.

Example: Jacob serving years to obtain Rachel.

3️⃣ Ketubah (כְּתוּבָּה) – Marriage Covenant / Contract

A written covenant agreement defining obligations.

Parallels this with the covenant given in Exodus 19–24.

4️⃣ Kiddushin / Erusin (קִדּוּשִׁין / אֵרוּסִין) – Betrothal

The bride becomes set apart for the groom.

The couple is legally bound though not yet living together.

5️⃣ Kos HaBrit (כּוֹס הַבְּרִית) – Cup of the Covenant

The covenant is sealed by sharing the cup.

Acceptance of the marriage agreement.

6️⃣ Mattan (מַתָּן) – Gifts to the Bride

The groom gives bridal gifts demonstrating commitment and provision.

7️⃣ Mikveh (מִקְוֶה) – Ritual Immersion

The bride undergoes ceremonial purification.

Symbol of cleansing and preparation.

8️⃣ Hachanat HaKallah (הֲכָנַת הַכַּלָּה) – Preparation of the Bride

The kallah (bride) prepares herself during the betrothal period.

She must remain ready for the groom.

9️⃣ Teruʿat HaShofar / HaKri'ah (תְּרוּעַת הַשּׁוֹפָר) – Announcement of the Groom

The groom’s arrival is announced with a shout or trumpet.

The bridal party prepares.

🔟 Nissuin (נִישּׂוּאִין) – Taking the Bride

The groom comes suddenly and takes the bride to the father’s house.

This completes the marriage legally.

1️⃣1️⃣ Chuppah (חֻפָּה) – Bridal Chamber / Canopy

The couple enters the chuppah, symbolizing the consummation and union.

Traditionally associated with a seven-day bridal chamber period.

1️⃣2️⃣ Seudat Nissuin (סְעוּדַת נִישּׂוּאִין) – Wedding Feast

The marriage supper or celebratory banquet with guests.

Condensed List

Shiddukh – match arrangement

Mohar – bride price

Ketubah – marriage covenant

Kiddushin / Erusin – betrothal

Kos HaBrit – covenant cup

Mattan – bridal gifts

Mikveh – ritual immersion

Hachanat HaKallah – bride preparation

Teruʿat HaShofar – announcement

Nissuin – taking the bride

Chuppah – bridal chamber

Seudat Nissuin – wedding feast

Mockers will mock. When destruction comes they will claim that God never warned them. Prior to the judgment they keep trying to put a time frame on it so they can "debunk" the prophecy. After the Pandemic, in 2021, they tried to say "see, nothing happened". Then after 2024 when Hamas and the Psalm 83 war came to an end it was "see, nothing happened". Now we are seeing Jeremiah 49 and the start of Ezekiel 38 and they want to claim the other prophecies have "expired" and so you can't point to them as being fulfilled. In the end they will be without excuse.

God is not concerned about getting prophecy wrong because such is not a salvational or moral issue. What he hates is anti-Christ neo-pharisee distractions that rob Christ of his glory by focusing on worldly things rather than spiritual realities.

I absolutely trust all the words of Christ Jesus and the writers of the NT and the first audience to receive the message and to whom it was written because it was happening in their time not ours.

1 Peter 4:7 (NRSV): "The end of all things is near."
1 John 2:18 (NRSV): "Children, it is the last hour."
I know exactly how to rightly exegete those passages, in perfect concordant harmony with all of the rest of the Bible. You do not.

Ridiculous.
God IS CONCERNED. That WE get prophecy RIGHT. And then BELIEVE it.
There are literally hundreds of warnings in Scripture saying exactly this.

Sometimes when God says he is going to do a thing for someone, he then repents from it because of that person's rebellion.

I will never concede to a doctrine that denies the FINISHED work of Christ Jesus.

Here on repeat:

28For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

People who teach Matthew 24 prophecies are already fulfilled do not believe the words of Jesus.

Matthew 24:4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my
name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.

If Matthew 24 was fulfilled after 70 AD and the Lord came in glory and judged all these deceivers and false prophets then why do we still have them? The book of Revelation let's us know that the tribulation is a time of judgment on the false prophets.

6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed.
Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

If the Lord brought in His kingdom to earth after 70 AD why do we still hear of wars and rumors of war?

7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines
and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Jesus is telling us these things precede the birth. We don't see birth pains after the baby is born. So then, why do we have these events which are birth pains if the baby has already been born?

9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be
hated by all nations because of me.

This certainly applies to all of the apostles except for one point. "All nations"? Were they persecuted by China? No. Other Christians during the church age were, but not the apostles. How about Japan, were they persecuted by Japan? No. Again, other Christians during the Church age were, but not the apostles. What about the nations in South America, did they persecute and kill the 12 apostles? No. They did however persecute and kill Christians during the church age. Those that hold to this doctrine that this was fulfilled try to have it both ways. On one hand "I believe the words of Jesus" and on the other you can't teach this doctrine without explaining away all the words in this chapter as not meaning what they say.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony
to all nations, and then the end will come.

Here is the big sign of the end of the age. In 70 AD when the temple was destroyed Christians and the gospel were scattered to the four corners of the earth. In the last 120 years Gideons have distributed 2.6 billion Bibles worldwide, we have missionaries going to all the continents with the gospel, we have over 700 translations of the Bible, we have youtube. Today you can say the gospel is preached in the whole world. You can't say that in 70 AD.

21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the
world until now—and never to be equaled again.

As bad as the distress was in 70 AD can anyone say it was unequaled during the Holocaust? Josephus notes 97,000 were enslaved and 580,000 died. The Holocaust, the pogroms, and the Spanish inquisition blow those numbers out of the water. The distress was equaled, easily, without any doubt. But Jesus said it will "never to be equaled again". People who teach this doctrine do not believe the words of Jesus.

Pentecost was Israel's betrothal to Jesus. Do you deny that the apostles, the 120 disciples and the 3000 who were baptized into Christ that day were Israel?
They were born again, Christians, there are no Jews or Gentiles in the church, just the Body of Christ.

Ridiculous.
God IS CONCERNED. That WE get prophecy RIGHT. And then BELIEVE it.
There are literally hundreds of warnings in Scripture saying exactly this.

OT prophecy is important in the sense of being edifying, if interpreted correctly, because it glorifies God for being faithful for having brought his words to pass. It doesn't teach how to live a righteous life or be obedient to God's voice.

Neo-pharisees over-emphasize the importance of OT prophecy because having rejected Christ, the only (imagined) path they have to salvation is the future fulfillment of OT prophecy.

God is not concerned about getting prophecy wrong because such is not a salvational or moral issue. What he hates is anti-Christ neo-pharisee distractions that rob Christ of his glory by focusing on worldly things rather than spiritual realities.
In principal I agree, having an accurate eschatology is not essential to salvation. It is not an item of the faith.

No, the things that get Christians in trouble is calling other Christians a fool, or an anti-christ, or a neo-pharisee. What gets Christians in trouble is beating up other Christians who are watching for the Lord's return.

Now despite not being an item of the faith your attitude towards the prophecies and the Lord's soon coming does reveal your heart. It is hard to imagine anyone who loves the Lord Jesus as their first love not being excited about prophecies being fulfilled indicating the soon coming of the Lord.

So you do deny that they were sons of Israel
Colossians 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

In order to be the Body of Christ you must die to all that you are in the flesh.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

The Jews claim that any Jew who converts to Christianity is "dead to them". It is the photographic negative of what happens in Ruth.

Ruth 1:14 And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her. 15 And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law. 16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: 17 Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.

Ruth had to forsake her people and her gods to go with Naomi. Likewise, the Jews who became Christians had to forsake their people and their religion to worship Jesus Christ as Lord.

The standard kindergarten level replacement theology assertion.
The truth of the matter is in fact more nuanced and complex.
All with full Scriptural support and fully realized prophecy for all parties.
In accord with accurate Biblical truth, there are no loose ends, no unfulfilled prophecies, no broken promises.
In your view the God of Israel is a promise breaking shifty untrustworthy deadbeat.

One covenant, multiple stages of fulfillment

So the framework becomes:

StageGroupCovenant experience
Messiah’s first comingbelieving Israelitesfirstfruits
Present agebelievers from nationsspiritual participation
End of ageIsrael nationallyfull covenant realization

Summary

  1. The New Covenant is promised to Israel and Judah.
  2. Early believers like the 3000 in Acts 2 are firstfruits, not the nation.
  3. The nation enters the covenant fully after corporate repentance.
  4. That repentance occurs during Jacob’s Trouble.
  5. The covenant therefore unfolds in stages with different covenant blessings for different groups.

I'm not going to get in trouble with God because he is the one telling me to tell you these things. If I'm wrong about something he will simply show me. He's a father who loves his son, not an ogre with a club.

The Church Age is a unique and temporary phase in the covenant timeline, positioned between Israel’s rejection of Messiah and Israel’s future national repentance. He places it within the broader prophetic structure without canceling Israel’s national promises.

The Church age is clearly seen as the "gap" in Daniels 70 week prophecy.

This is how the Church Age fits into the New Covenant.

1️⃣ Messiah came to Israel first.

“He came unto his own, and his own received him not.”
— Gospel of John 1:11

The national leadership rejected Him, though some Israelites believed.

Those believers form the firstfruits remnant.

2️⃣ The Church Age begins at Pentecost in:

  • Acts of the Apostles 2

Important features of this period:

  • It begins with Jewish believers.
  • Gentiles are later grafted in.
  • It forms a distinct covenant community.

Key passage:

“I will build my church.”
— Gospel of Matthew 16:18

This did not exist before Pentecost.

3️⃣ Paul’s explanation:

“The mystery… that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs.”
— Epistle to the Ephesians 3:4–6

Meaning:

  • The Church was not clearly revealed in Old Testament prophecy.
  • It represents a temporary interruption in Israel’s prophetic timeline.

Another key passage:

“Blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in.”
— Epistle to the Romans 11:25

This is describing the current age.

4️⃣ The end of the Church Age is the rapture.

Classic passage:

“The dead in Christ shall rise first… we who are alive shall be caught up.”
— First Epistle to the Thessalonians 4:16–17

After this event:

  • the Church is removed
  • the prophetic focus returns to Israel nationally.

5️⃣ After the Church Age, the timeline shifts back to Israel.

This leads to:

  • Jacob’s Trouble
    ( Book of Jeremiah 30:7 )
  • national repentance
  • fulfillment of the New Covenant.

Key prophecy:

“All Israel shall be saved.”
— Epistle to the Romans 11:26

6️⃣ The Church is unique because it is:

• neither national Israel
• nor simply Gentile believers

Instead it is a mixed covenant body formed during a prophetic pause.

The Church is described as:

  • a mystery body
  • the Bride of Messiah
  • a temporary administration in God’s plan.
