The Bible does not reveal the year, day, or hour when the Lord Jesus will return. Scripture explicitly prohibits date-setting and instead emphasizes that the second coming will be unexpected and that believers should live in constant readiness.
Matthew 24:36 states, "But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only."
Acts 1:7 indicates that it is not for believers to know the times or seasons the Father has fixed by His own authority.
1 Thessalonians 5:2 and similar verses, say that the day of the Lord will arrive suddenly and unexpectedly, much like a thief in the night.
In his human nature, Jesus voluntarily chose not to use his divine knowledge to know the date of his return, fully submitting to the Father's timeline.

This limitation highlights Christ's true humanity, allowing him to be a sympathetic mediator who experiences the same human limitations as his followers.
Because the date is unknown, believers are commanded to watch and be prepared at all times rather than to calculate dates.
While Matthew 24 mentions signs before the destruction of Jerusalem, the final advent of Christ in verses (24:36–25:46) is a "single" event that is meant to take the world by surprise.

The return of Christ is considered "imminent," meaning it could happen at any moment, and no prophecy must be fulfilled before he returns.
the Bible is clear that the year is not known, and focusing on predicting the date is a distraction from the true calling of the church to work and serve while waiting for Christ's return.
I did not say the day and hour. You added that. You use a verse in the Bible which says you do not know the day and hour to say that the Bible says we don't know the year? That is very sloppy Bible interpretation. You are adding to the Bible and you are using your own mind to say what it does not say.

You are also ignoring many other relevant verses:

Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Just because the disciples did not know 2,000 years ago doesn't mean Jesus can't tell His disciples a week before hand what the hour will be.

Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

We don't know when the various prophecies will be fulfilled, but we have been given prophecies that when we see them fulfilled we know that the Lord's return is imminent. Joel gives us a prophecy of a worldwide pandemic and global shutdown that never happened previously in human history, a bug that is stitched together from five bugs like in a bioweapons lab, a bug that goes into the great houses so that even the President of the US will get sick, and Joel tells us this is the event that takes place "next door" to the day of the Lord. This verse obliterates your Minister teaching not to watch. It proves he is contrary to the Lord's teaching.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

2,000 years ago the Lord revealed to the apostles the things He was doing then. He revealed the New Testament to them. Likewise prior to His return He will reveal the things He is about to do and that includes His return.

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Noah and his family entered the ark seven days before the flood. This is because Methuselah died and there was a prophecy that when he dies the end shall come. No one knew the day or hour that Methuselah was going to die, but when he did die they knew what that meant. You have been deceived by that minister.

so never? they have been two months away from the atomic bomb according to netanyahu since 1995
Get a clue buddy. God uses nations and kings for His purposes all of the time.
He used Assyria and they were utterly oblivious all the while.
And then God JUDGES ASSYRIA afterward.

Isa 10:5
“Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger
And the staff in whose hand is My indignation.

Isa 10:6
I will send him against an ungodly nation,
And against the people of My wrath
I will give him charge,
To seize the spoil, to take the prey,
And to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

Isa 10:7
Yet he does not mean so,
Nor does his heart think so;

But it is in his heart to destroy,
And cut off not a few nations.

Isa 10:12
Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Lord has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, that He will say, “I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks.”

********************************************
Likewise these "dear leaders".

Eze 38:3
“and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.

Eze 38:4
“I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords.

"the second coming will be unexpected"

False. It will be unexpected ONLY for those who are not watching because they do not believe Him and therefore are not waiting for Him. We SHOULD know the times and season. Paul taught this everywhere, yet pastors today abandon this teaching requirement.

1Th 5:1
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.

1Th 5:4
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief

Rev 3:3
“Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you

"In his human nature, Jesus voluntarily chose not to use his divine knowledge to know the date of his return"

I don't believe that is the proper interpretation. Jesus is omniscient and always knows everything all of the time, and certainly knows the mind of the Father. Jesus is referring to the distinction of roles in salvation history. Personally, I see this as an intertwining of the entire "end-time" prophetic matrix of rapture - man of sin revealed - time of Jacobs trouble - day of the Lord all packaged together in one terse saying.

Mat 24:36
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Mar 13:32
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Jhn 14:2
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

1Th 4:16
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

"fully submitting to the Father's timeline"

This is true and follows the Hebrew wedding protocol perfectly.

And YES, certainly, the fig tree is intended to be a symbolic reference to the nation Israel. The evidence is overwhelming.
And we should be WATCHING the "fig tree", the nation Israel, as they THEMSELVES, in and of themselves, are a SIGN to the entire world, and always will be. Therefore men are WITHOUT EXCUSE in the matter of "watching" and responding appropriately.

U.S. Airstrikes Severely Damage Iran's B1 Bridge In Karaj

Some are arguing this is a war crime, others are arguing this is setting the stage for a land invasion. Regardless of what the motive is and whether or not it can be justified. The fact is this will be catastrophic to Iran's economy. In NYC we have several large bridges into Manhattan. Basically the George Washington connects New Jersey to Manhattan. If that were blown up more people would have to use the Verrazzano bridge causing massive traffic through Staten Island, and the Holland tunnel. It would be a massive problem to NYC and they already have alternatives. The Verrazano does not go to Manhattan, it goes to Brooklyn which means they would still need to use another bridge or tunnel. The traffic headache would be incredible.

My point is that this war is already causing huge damage to the world that will take a couple of decades to fix. If they are doing similar damage to oil infrastructure we are looking at a major catastrophe that hasn't been fully factored in yet.

Out of curiousity, how is destroying a bridge a war crime? A school I can understand.

I think civilian targets are supposed to be out of bounds. Also if the bridge was blown up while non combatants were on it and killed, then specifically targeting that structure can be seen as a war crime. I hardly think this is more than semantics as I doubt this will be prosecuted.

they are persians, half of em that is. and i gotta push back on that, they are definitely not skilled fighters. they have no navy or airforce left. all they can do is send drones and missiles

you brought up the exact cases i already mentioned. what was america doing in lebanon/iraq? americans started the aggression, iran responded.

It's called self defense and in we get them before they get us.

God is the One directing this behind the scenes to provide Israel with a time of prosperity, power, and strength (Psalms 83) which is a precursor to the coming Ezekiel 38 war.

So relax, the Lord's got this.

so never? they have been two months away from the atomic bomb according to netanyahu since 1995

Doesn't matter, these people will never quit trying until they eventually get nukes and when they do they will use them.

Liberals need to understand that it's much better to stop nukes before they are used.

If they are doing similar damage to oil infrastructure we are looking at a major catastrophe that hasn't been fully factored in yet.

Which won't effect the oil supply for the US that is being produced in the US

It will however effect some of our "allies" but they don't want to get involved to help so oh well that's their problem

Some are arguing this is a war crime

Yeah so the bad guys get to kill innocent people and bomb all kinds of stuff and they get a pass?

No, that's one good thing about Trump being old and in his second term - he don't care if it is a war crime and shouldn't!

Out of curiousity, how is destroying a bridge a war crime? A school I can understand.

Supposedly under international law in war nations are forbidden from attacking things that can hurt the general population such as power plants, water plants, bridges, etc

The bad guys get to bomb things like this and even get to attack civilians directly and it's all good but if the US and Israel damage power plants, water plants, bridges, etc it suddenly becomes a "war crime"

It's more double standard coming from the hypocrisy of the globalists so nothing to see here.

all they can do is send drones and missiles

And their ability to do that is becoming smaller each day

You would do well to first of all ask yourself:
What did Jesus NOT "empty Himself" of. Because He certainly DID NOT empty Himself of the following attributes:
-deity, He is the God-man, a Person of the Trinity
-infinity and infinitely valuable and potent Blood
-omnipotence, His sacrifice being sufficient of all sin, and was utterly unkillable by men by any means
-omnipresence, He declared oneness with the Father and was literally in heaven and on earth at the same time
-total authority over creation, life, death, demons men and angels. Throttled back during His sojourn according the will of the Trinity
-free will. I personally believe that He never gave this up at any time. Everything He did was an act of His own free will.
-He was and is and will always be outside of time, and inside at the same time

So what did He give up then? He gave up this.......temporarily.
This nonsense that Jesus was a hapless victim inside of time, subject to the schemes of men and Satan and dire out of control circumstances is heretical.

Phl 2:10
so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

Phl 2:11
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Phl 2:7
but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.

Phl 2:8
And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Phl 2:9
Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,

Phl 2:10
so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

Phl 2:11
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Those things have been revealed. It's called the book of Revelation
The content of which (THE eschatological tribulation) you say has already occurred. Ridiculous.
Because of course the Second Coming is certain to happen IMMEDIATELY afterwards.

Mat 24:29
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

at 24:30
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
