Yes part of it, however I also think there are a lot of power struggles behind the scenes, struggles for financial international control,
control of shipping lanes, minerals and resources, the US is trying to maintain its hegemony and seems to go to whatever lengths to maintain is imperialist position, along with their client state.
"Your country" is last in a long chain of countries to be conquered by the same people. So your concern is good, even if late.

I think the issue is that the US can't be trusted to keep its word. The blockade itself breaks international law. And I'm not sure Trump is really interested in ending it. He loses the blockade before the world economy crashes, he loses leverage.
This is ludicrous on its face. How can it be said that a nation controls something it can make no use of? They may keep others from using it, but they cannot use the strait themselves. By any reasonable observation, they merely obstruct its use by others.
They have not fired upon certain vessels for sure. But they don't control the strait or they could move their own vessels freely.

But yes - the purpose of the US blockade (outside of the straight, I believe) is that no one can make use of the straight of Hormuz. Those who Iran lets through, the US blockade will prevent, and vice versa.

There's also the conflicting statements made during and after the visit to China. Iran doesn't have the machines or ability to retrieve the nuclear material only China or the US has the ability to be able to retrieve and remove it. Verses the important thing is that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon that we just said they don't have the ability to dig up and remove.

I think the whole argument of who has ultimate control in not really the issue, it is just a narrative to make the US look like they are in control/strong, "look we can inflict more damage on the damage" lol
OK, they are charging a fee to not shoot at the boats, that doesn't mean they control the Strait. If their ships are blockaded they don't control the ships, they are merely a bully that is threatening others like a gangster and the US and Israel are there to fight the bully. This is an existential threat to the US as the reserve currency. If the US cannot put a stop to this bully then Saudi Arabia and UAE might as well sell oil using BRICS. If the US loses reserve currency status we will go into hyper inflation and although others might cheer, the reality is the impact that will have on other countries will be nothing short of apocalyptic.
So it isn't an act of war because we are already at war and acts like that are common during war? Got it.
They may have gotten a few millions, but are losing billions every week. And those tolls have been shut down.
It is ludicrous to say that a nation is controlling something they cannot use. You just can't admit you are wrong. You sympathize more with a tyrannical death cult than the people of Iran.
