Hamas embeds fighters, rocket launchers, command centers, and tunnels (hundreds of km) under and inside civilian infrastructure — hospitals, schools, homes, mosques.
This "human shield" strategy (documented by Israel, critics, and some analysts) makes civilian areas legitimate military targets under international law, but increases civilian risk. Hamas has also discouraged evacuations and fired rockets that sometimes misfire.

I get why so many people are frustrated or skeptical about this Iran MOU. On paper, it looks like a massive compromise: $300 billion in unfrozen assets, a fixed schedule to lift sanctions, and immediate oil export waivers for Tehran. But what were we expecting when on one side, Trump is facing an apocalyptic regime that wants the world to burn and on the other, an American public that has no stomach for war? He played the cards that were actually on the table.
I’m sick and tired of the politicians and podcasters who bi*ch and complain no matter what Trump does. They scream that the war has to stop, but the second he stops it, they turn around and yell, "what kind of deal is this?!" If the goal is to actually end Iran’s regime, history shows there's only one model that works: total WWII-style defeat, occupation, and denazification. That requires American boots on the ground and an Iranian people ready to build a free country from the rubble. But NO ONE, myself included, wants boots on the ground.
Is this MOU what Trump wanted? I doubt it. But he did exactly what a leader of a Republic should do: he listened to the people and found a way to end this. A dictator would have kept on going. At the end of the day, a president can only go as far as the people will carry him. Right now, our appetite for war stops at the gas pump.

As you were the first to mention Hamas using civilians as shields, the burden of proof lies with you.
As for any Palestinian narrative, Big Brother here at the Forum appears biased towards Israel.
I posted a lengthy piece on the Nakbar of 1948. The post went off for 'approval' and has not been seen since.
So, any fair discussion on the Israeli/Palestinian crises is not possible.

It's actually a very good deal, but let's wait for it to be ceremonially officialized tomorrow to praise to loudly, but it's a pretty total victory for US.. Praise Jesus.

I do not usually respond to these "human shield" arguments, because I understand them to be self defeating.
The fact that they are used already shows that the IDF is running low on moral talking points.
You repeat them often, so I will now respond.
Lets try a more logical and less emotional approach.
Consider that you are a ordinary dad in Southern Lebanon, but your village is being carpet bombed.
Your instinct is to defend your family home and now that Hezbollah is in the area you have access to pretty good weapons.
So you are now in Israel's eyes a terrorist militant.
Would you bother to wave a Hezbollah flag just so the enemy will not call you a "coward"?
They are already in your country with tanks and planes.
They obviously do not wish to die either and you owe them nothing.
Now lets consider the Israeli perspective.
Lets say that you want to take out Hezbollah operatives but you genuinely wish to save civilians.
Would you be using bombs and missiles in crowded places, or would you consider other options?
How about Mossad agents in Lebanon? Selling RFID tagged Hezbollah uniforms? Satellite surveillance and small drones? Poison food in army supply lines?
Iran has engaged multiple countries and caused widespread damage in their defense effort.
Use your trusted sources to find out how many civilians they have killed.
Now compare that number to Israels civilian victims.
Israels objectives are not what you have been led to believe.
The "Greater Israel" badge on the IDF uniforms should tell you that much.
When two parties at war make an agreement they do not need or expect the enemy to like them.
Both act in their own interests, knowing that if the enemy breaks the agreement they have moral and legal cover to carry out their next military operation.
Good Lord, You obviously have more to do with Israel and the USA than saved by Grace through faith.

I get that $300 billion is in Iran's interest, and recognizing Iran's control over the Strait is in their interest. What I don't get is what was the US interest? We spent a ton of money to bomb Iran, what have we gotten in return? I get that the damage to the oil market will cause a global depression and famine, but was that the goal for the US?
