we often lose sight of the purpose we have as Christians on this earth as we await our precious Savior and Lords return. something has been done for us, by the Only True and living God, the creator and also redeemer of that creation which fell in deception. We are called for a purpose, each of us has the same purpose this purpose is not hidden, yet it is hard for us to accept.
The purpose is to go reflect Jesus light to a fading and darkening world. we catch ourselves looking at our sin and see if we are doing what we aren't supposed to do, and its easy to forget what we ARE supposed to do. we learn Jesus and live it so that those in the world who belong to Him will recognize His light and come to the cross for salvation. many will reject Him, many will hate the light of Christ shining in their world, they love the darkness all around, they would rather not see the truth because life to them is fleeting and they want to make the most of what is ending rapidly day by day.
in Christ Jesus we have the knowledge of eternal life as Gods children to look forward to, and much more, we have the knowledge of eternal life to share with the dying, with those who have not seen and do not know that Life is not ending but just beginning and death has no power in Christ. everyone we see needs Jesus. we feel "what can I do, I'm just trying to live right myself" we think " if I speak up, they'll dislike me or think I'm judging them" really though, not sharing Jesus is withholding the very thing that can free them from the dominion of darkness all around.
we are called, chosen, Loved that we should go forth and Love others in His precious name. He died because He loves them that much. we thank Him for our forgiveness and can never forget He Loves them as much as he does us. this isn't to say we should go judge anyone, nor should we condone sin in others lives. our place is not judgement, but to simply be like Jesus says to be, and speak His name for His glory.
Why do I have hope? Jesus. why am I giving to help their needs when I don't even know them? Jesus. why am I comforting the broken? Jesus. why am I calm when everyone is panicing? Jesus. where has this change come from? Jesus.....everything good and worthy we do, we speak His name and make Him evident that they may reach for Him and have life and go shine to another.......
All glory, honor, praise, majesty and power belong to our God, and to His Son who gave us Life
