And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Rom. 8:28
Yes I'm a believer but its not long ago that i became one so mostly scriptures I find them needing help to understand

Please simplify this verse
"For those who are called according to His purpose"
According to His purpose..what Purpose of God do they really mean? What is according to His purpose
 
For me it says thE God has a purpose for each of our lives. He gives us spiritual gifts and wants us to do the good works He designed us to do.
.God wants us to belong to part of the Body or a local church were we can help others and have others Help us learn and grow.

Some people are gifted host and hostess and can cook or make people feel welcomed. Others are scholars or teachers. Others good at finances..,God uses all our gifts for His glory.

It means the eternal purpose of God. He purposed it, then He brought it about.

Please study the epistle to the Ephesians. That will give you the proper understanding. God has a plan and a purpose for the Church.

The Holy Spirit is available to you. Please be encouraged to press in and rely on the Holy Spirit for understanding - just as you rely on Jesus Christ for salvation.

When people tell you what the scriptures mean, keep in mind that they are telling you what the scriptures mean to them. Always ask the Holy Spirit to confirm what you have been told. People don't mean to, but they can lead you astray. It's important to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, not man.

[h=1]1 John 2:27 New King James Version (NKJV)[/h]27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will[a] abide in Him.

So, you asked for help to understand Romans 8:28:

So, all I can tell you is what it means to me, which is that the believers that 1) love God with all their heart, mind, soul and body and 2) are called according to His purpose need not to fret or worry because of all the hardships they are going through. Eventually, everything will work out for their good.

To be called is to receive Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior and King and receive His blood for the forgiveness of our sins and be filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will start teaching us the Ways of God - the paths of Life - how to know the Truth and walk in obedience.

The purpose of God in this scripture is His Kingdom. God is building a Kingdom wherein dwells righteousness. Jesus Christ is the King because it pleased the Father to give all power and authority in Heaven and Earth to the Son.

The gospel is a call. We are the "called of Christ."

We are called by a gospel message in this ministry, the "ministry of reconciliation", that is different than the gospel call of previous ministries. And, we have a house of doctrine according to His purpose in Christ for the "one new man."

God has but one purpose -- to have himself a people who will love him and glorify him forever.
