Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Groanings that can not be uttered, a way that The Holy Spirit intercedes for us, i am not sure how this is when the Holy Spirit applies it in our prayers.
Yet another picture painted here is THE HOLY SPIRIT helps us pray. How? Reminding us of verses to stand on, Supplying us with strength, stamina to pray longer. Telling us what to pray about, showing us how to pray about it, whether to prophesy, rebuke, break, loose, or build and create. Just as the word of God teaches. The Spirit of GOD will reveal scriptures to stand on, and when we do we see results just as HE directed us to do.

Now interestingly verse 28, Starts with a condition
for we know that ALL things work for the Good of those who LOVE GOD to those who are called according to HIS purpose
A Similar condition Deut 28:1 And it shall come to pass,{{condition}} if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day,{{Result}} that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
Or this verse which pulls the reader to look at the results and nature of them as well.
Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
A man who is prosperous in all He does, doing the works of GOD and grows daily, who is living a righteous, holy and God fearing life daily, who exhibits the fruit of the Holy Spirit, aii This man is obeying GOD... A mango tree can not give oranges for fruit, its like you can not expect a man with a murder intent against you, to give you cake without poison in it, unless he is just buying time for the right moment to strike.

How do we know that we love God
Joh 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Joh 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
- If you love God, you will keep His sayings
- Faith without works is DEAD.

and His teachings tell us to

- Repent - turn from our sin, say no to sin daily.
- Be filled with the Holy Ghost daily
- Die to self Daily
- Carry our Cross daily
- Pray without ceasing daily
- Worship the Father in SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH daily
- Preach the Gospel daily
- Have an oil full lamp daily
- Watch DAILY
- Not tomorrow, or when we feel like it or when we want to, but the condition of the covenant we have with THE FATHER is DAILY keep HIS word. Daily do all that is in HIS WORD. Thats when we show GOD that we LOVE HIM, no other way, those are the standards HE kept, either we follow or we don't. If we don't we are sinning, and in time might lose our eternal salvation.
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Words of the Lord
Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
1Jn 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
Pro 4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
Pro 4:19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
Mat 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Mat 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Luk 12:42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
Luk 12:43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
Luk 12:44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
Luk 12:45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
Luk 12:46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers
Luk 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

And all that JESUS CHRIST taught in the bible. We keep all, not even one thing is to be missed, disrespected, or thought to be grouped for certain individuals only

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Luk 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

And when we have qualified for the above

Then we can continue with the next verses

Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
To me this shows stages, Being those in Christ WHO LOVE the LORD on a daily basis as above pointed out, In Hope i would point out, seeing that we are a work in progress, we have been "predestinated" or the Lord has given us the Goal of reaching the fullness of Christ. Where it says, we have been predestinated to be confirmed to the image of His Son. and why? so that CHRIST maybe a first born among brethren.
Corresponding verses are
Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Telling us that we have a journey to go, since it says till we all COME IN THE, meaning we ALL could not be yet there, but SOME could be.
Gal 6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
Gal 6:4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
Gal 6:5 For every man shall bear his own burden.

And he says to those that He called, He justified, justification comes through the FATHER acknowledging our obedience to HIM, or after doing the things that HE commanded us to do, and the verse indicates that this happens while we are on earth. Ie on Gods meter, we are fine, and accepted in our dealings with HIM. and He says after justification is Glorification.
Jesus was justified through out His life, and nailed it on the Cross. And after that He was gloried, and now He sits at the right hand of the Father. It is Crucial for God to acknowledge us rather Than people. Ie Where HE honours, just like HE honoured Nathaniel (Joh_1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! ).
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Heb 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

We go on with verse 31
Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
If GOD is for us? ie if We are doing what GOD expects of us to do, HE protects us and is FOR US. when we are walking in HIS love, then who can be against us? if we walking in His will WHO CAN BE AGAINST US? If we are obeying and keeping His teaching, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?
No one. Where we can have confidence and say WHAT JESUS says
Joh 14:30 .. . . . . . . for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Rom 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
He will freely give us things.
Joh_15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
The word says, Ye shall ask what ye will, Its like a shopping spree in Heaven, where you walk in each aile just picking what you want with wisdom that you do not take what you do not need. Where the Father says, free of charge my beloved son.

Rom 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
And because we do not want to appear before His throne amiss, HIS WORD will justify while we are still with these bodies and same word will judge those that rejected Christ and His Word..
Joh_12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
And if you are living according to Gods word, then no one can say anything Against you. Matterfact GOD will commend you, and justify you and say "This is my beloved son/daughter of whom i am well pleased"

Rom 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Who can condemn you? Christ died and rose again so you may live. ie We live in HIM. So one can condemn you, or put a death sentence on you when GOD has said, ARISE and take your bed your sins have been forgiven of thee. The same JESUS who reigns and sits at the right hand of the Father and makes daily intercession for us.

Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hallelujah that whoever is going through tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, who got stripped naked, made to sleep outside, who is in the worse places that He can be imagined, ai. Nothing can separate US from the Love of the LORD, Nothing.!!.
That if tomorrow they have set to hang you on a noose, Christ still loves you. And HIS love will not cease to reach you, even if you are in a dungeon and wow does it smell, His love will reach you.

Fear not, only believe .!!.

with regards to the scriptures in Romans.........one thing folks should know is that in vs. 26 it says: "but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

there are folks who believe this is their speaking in tongues..............but Scripture says THE HOLY SPIRIT ITSELF MAKETH INTERCESSION FOR US WITH GROANINGS WHICH CANNOT BE UTTERED.....

That ain't us doing the "groanings," it's the Holy Spirit.......

:) just saying........ God bless

Jud 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
1Co 14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

From the scripture, this point is accurate.
But thank GOD for speaking in tongues as well. Awesome for edification

Yes, But the Spirit needs out tongues to groan and intercede with.
Paul said when he prays in tongues, his spirit [Guided by the Holy Spirit] is praying.

The meaning of, "Cannot be uttered", is,
"Cannot be spoken or understood by our natural speech or understanding".

Those of us who have been used many times for the Holy Spirit to intercede for us and through us, Know when the Holy Spirit takes over, Our tongues change.
Sometimes the Spirit tells us who or what we are praying for, Other times He gives us a vision.
Sometimes we will feel very heavy and sad in spirit, as the Holy Spirit is interceding, Then the Holy Spirit fills our hearts will joy, as the victory has come.

Notice v 26 says the Spirit helps us, Not does it for us.
The Greek word for "Helpeth", Is made up of two Greek words, One is, [Stands together with], And the other means,
[Against].
So the Holy Spirit "Stands together with us, Against" the things that are against us.

If it wasn't our tongues that He uses, How would we know when He is groaning and interceding.

God doesn't need our tongues for anything.........with God all things are possible.........

As for how would we know..............consider the situation...........fairly sure a person would know when the Holy Ghost intercedes for them........it ain't us babbling...........that simple......read the Scripture, it's clear in it's wording.

IF it was our tongues groaning, then the Scripture would be a lie...........it clearly states........

"WHICH CANNOT BE UTTERED........"

I got lost after the first paragraph!

:)

Do you believe in Speaking in tongues?

and no debates about tongues here please.

There are sufficient posts on CC and teachings and personal life experience and BIBLICAL PROOF to prove it is applicable today.

God has given His people tongues, For eight reasons, And one of them is for the Holy Spirit to intercede for us.

[End quote].

So How will we know that the Spirit is interceding for us??.

I have explained what, "With groaning which cannot be uttered", is.

You obviously don't speak in tongues, Or if you do, You have never interceded in tongues, To the point where the Holy Spirit stands with you against the problem.
One who has had this experience, Knows when the Spirit takes over.

That's how I would know, So how would you know??.

I got lost after the first paragraph!

it was real wordy wasn't it! I didn't get lost I just got tired of not getting to the point and reading 10,0000 words before I realized I was reading it over again.

assumptions are like......well...........having been filled with the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, and having received more than one infusion of His wondrous presence in my heart/soul..........I am well aware of what it feels like to have Him intercede for me............and I don't have to babble to achieve this.........all I have to do is open my heart to Him and allow Him to work His will as He will in my life......

Speaking in tongues? Well, yes I do............

(let me know if you need me to translate.....)

How are you aware of the Holy Spirit interceding for you??

How can the Spirit groan if you don't open your mouth??.

How can the Spirit speak in words that cannot be uttered by our native language, Or understood by our minds, If you don't speak in tongues??.

Don't call God's Holy gift "Babble".

I don't need you to translate your German Jn 1: 1--5.

Servant is not greater than the master, they persecuted Christ so will they do the same to those that are His

1Ti_3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
