Ok Tri. In my mind it's all moot now since Ira said a room is not an option. But I definitely see the value of a forum and I look forward to the discussions that will unfold.

okay, and the men are still excluded from this forum...i'm just not a fan of removing any fellowship from the site....i think a forum for women only to post would be one thing, but to have it not even viewable by the men is a whole other thing, in my opinion...
 
I've always maintained that there are subjects not meant for "mixed company", this is NOT to say we shouldn't all continue to fellowship with each other as a whole "community" ie: guys and gals together. It is just certain topics may be sensitive to each gender. I am all for a womens forum AND for a mens forum as well. As long as we still have the rest for everyone to communicate together on....I think it would be all good. It also may be appropriate to consider age as well.......just a thought.
 
I guess I feel uncomfortable telling women that they CAN'T have their own forum. I think a men-only forum could be a benefit for guys as well.
 
Maybe the forum should only allow discussion of serious women topics and discourage general socialising/fellowship.

Yes, it will have a specific purpose, and it will be moderated :)
 
I vote yes it would be great to have a room for us to talk/pray/ect about things that wouldnt really be good to talk about in mixed company...i also think there should be a Mens room as well for the men to be able to talk/pray/get advice on things that really should only be talked about with other men.

yeah but blokes dont ask other blokes for advice they just work it out themselves

God still grants wisdom and in keeping with that, I will make no further comments on this issue.
 
It's like men flock to this site when you say women only. But, I very much like the idea, to have a place for women to fellowship.
 
Did you guys notice this thread is from 2009? Its THREE years old. And it was also said in the thread that there would NOT be a Chat room for only women. But a Women's Forum was planned at the time (and has since been implemented).
 
This isn't really the section for asking/giving advice. This is the part of the forums where people make suggestions on how to make improvements to the site.
