Apparently, Putin is not liking the resistance from Ukraine. And He is losing face. Now he is going to raise the threat to a higher level. This will most likely be met with China helping by destabilizing with attempt in Taiwan

Putin is getting desperate. But had there been a genuine president in the White House, he would not have started this reckless adventure. Now that "selected" Russian banks have been shut out of the SWIFT money transfer system, he is even more desperate. I am not sure why only "selected" banks were shut out, and not all banks. Playing games never stops, even when people's lives are at risk.
