1) Salvation is synonymous with Lordship in the NT terminology.

2) For us, God added something to the example of the Passover that typifies Christ.. And that is , we are totally His, total and absolute possession. No cheap grace.
Paul said, " In that He died for all, that they which live, do not live unto themselves, but unto Him that died for them and rose again." Thats total possession, we don't have any rights.

1) Christs life and death bought the potters field, where all the rejected vessels were thrown.

2) From the right hand of the Father comes salvation, righteousness, and the law. Everything flows from the right hand of God.

3) The Lord is my strength, my song, and has become my salvation.

1) We're to follow the captain of our salvation, and we should want His way.

2) 1Cor. 1:18, the act of perishing, or being saved, is a process.

1) We're just to prone in darkness, to get the flesh in motion, instead of just standing still, and do what God tells us is the answer, in order that the salvation of the Lord might be released.

2) None of us are finished products while we are still alive.

1) To us that are being saved, the cross is the power unto salvation.

2) The cross, secures the power of God, to endure the " being saved" to completion.

One can appreciate the intensity of the Lordship position even when they begin to insult other positions such as with terminology like "cheap grace". The desire that people be not mistaken about salvation is laudable, however, if emotional intensity allows self-righteousness to enter and express itself as contempt for others, a noble desire has become contaminated.

One might better be served with clarity about faith. It is simply trust. One trusts in that of which one is certain is true and trustworthy. The lacks the striving and force of the flesh that one can see with the Lordship view. It also lacks that capriciousness one can feel with the consumer preference or simple choice view. It is more a reflex that one can observe in the certainty a child has that their parents will care for them. That certainty is faith.

Faith is not simply trust. If it was, they would have used one of the Greek words for trust . But they used pisteuo.

Pisteuo or the application of NT faith is " a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender ".

So does that definition of true saving faith include trust? Yes! But not like most people think. If your trusting that God has accepted your surrendered life, and you trust He will maintain, protect, and complete the surrendered life, your on the narrow path.

If you trust in what Jesus says and did, thinking that alone will give you the spirit and mind of Christ, you are on the wide path and will avail nothing. This wide path understanding is spawned from out of the mistranslated words believe, believer, and believing.

An important distinction...

1) There is no salvation in changing your behavior. If there is any changes in your behavior, it's the result of the relationship.

2) Joshua 20, we should view our redemption like we are running for our lives, to a city of refuge, which is Christ.
