He beat cancer and then passed away from an undisclosed cause.

So sad. But,he said death didn't scare him. But it would upset him because he has so much more to do.

You done quite enough dear man. Your movies will live on.

Hunt for Red October was my favorite.
And of course,Jurassic Park.

Rest in peace dear sir. May God comfort all who shall miss you. 🙏 💕

I read that he had pneumonia when he died.

I remember Sam Neil as the lead in Jurassic Park. That was one of the movies Mom asked me to take her to see. I was surprised.
That was a blessing because she bought me dinosaurs and dinosaur books as a little boy, but had no idea she had any interest in them or big monster movies since.
I think she liked the Jurassic Park series better than me!
Good memories. 🙂

I loved to study dinosaurs when I was a kid.
Brontosaurus was my favorite.

When I saw the news yesterday reporting his passing hey said his family , who were with him as he passed, didn't release the cause.

I wonder if risk of pneumonia is a side effect of cancer treatments?

Yes, for many reasons.

All "medically approved " cancer treatments harm the immune system making patients much more susceptible to infections like pneumonia.
Hospitals are dangerous places to be because of staff mistreatments and the filthy drug resistant pathogens that are common in those disease factories.

Hospitalizations from either cancer or those approved treatments, chemo, radiation, surgery put patients at risk for pneumonia:

-bed confinement (fluid accumulation from not being allowed to walk. If the patient insists, then the Dr writes on the chart "fall risk".
Then the nurses dutifully force the patient unto their back and tie their arms to the sides of the bed so the person cannot get comfortable or so much as scratch an itch. It is literally severe torture. It is stressful beyond comprehension and yes far worse than prison.
-In addition, the Drs, nurses and registered dieticians, like those at Select Specialty Hospital in Morgantown WV make sure patients are malnourished as witnesses can attest to.
Mal nourishment and the horrendous meal replacements by Abbott Labs do not provide nutrients required for healing, but rather severe inflammation aka pain, bowel disbiosis and a host of other horrible health problems.
-I've witnessed toxic hazardous waste disposal from many other rooms stored in the bathroom tub and completely covering the floor from wall to wall and stacked high. I had to close the door in order to breath. Then run down the hallway gagging to go out to get fresh air. Never in my life have I ever experienced such respiratory distress. I had only arrived. That hospital forces patients to be exposed to that 24/7.

While they falsely advertise special care for pulmonary issues, I saw them cause far more, including murder.
May they be judged quickly!

In addition, Some "fall risk" patients are actually provided a mat next to the bed and the sides raised.

As I reflect more, I recall the following as a direct witness.
If the respiratory therapist doesn't want to assist a patient in doing anything beyond what she wants, she was seen pulling a tank out of the canister cage and purposely dropping it 4 times until the breathing device, called a stoma is pulled out by that respiratory therapist. She was notified and she refused to push it back in the rest of the way !
Then she lies and reports the patient as trying to remove it. The heads and nursing staff comply and tie the hands down with cords to the steel bed parts near the floor. This restrains the patient and actually leads to pulmonary inflammation and pneumonia.
The patient is not permitted to roll over or get any meaningful movement. Then they string the family along as the ONLY ones able to deal with the complex nature of the patients needs.
They are liars and worse.

All a bit negative H&H.
I am a cancer survivor and am more than happy with the way I was treated, saved my life. I had radiation therapy and all the staff, doctors, nurses, radiotherapy technicians were so supportive and kind.
So, I don't think you can paint them all with the same brush.

Well, I'm sure glad you survived.

I did not speak to your personal experience. You can speak for yourself as you have.

I speak the truth and know of a friend who I pray for whose lung was damaged after he was told the cancer was gone. He kept beaming radiation at him until it sounds like that oncologist finally cooked his lung. I pray to God he had such a better outcome as you.

As to my comments on the increased risk of pneumonia, I spake the truth. Not everyone has the same outcomes.
As to Select Specialtyits more than a little negative.
Everything I said about that hellish place is true and God knows it. What kind of a person would I be to lie and whitewash it?

Memories of Sam Neill...

From what he told us, his name used to be Nigel :p but he changed it to Sam. He didn't want to be a Nigel!
He's best known for the dinosaur movie i.e Jurassic Park. His grandchildren are only impressed by that one.
He had a vineyard in Central Otago (South Island, New Zealand) called Two Paddocks. His vintage wine was Pinot Noir
He cared about the environment
He recommends everyone eats New Zealand Butter. You can't beat the taste!
He didn't like talking about himself. But he wrote his memoir as something to do while having cancer treatment. He wasn't going to publish it but it got too long on his computer and someone got wind of it, so it's now published. It's called 'Did I ever tell you this?'

He was a great kiwi bloke and we will miss him.

Thank you for the report.

"His former girlfriend, Laura Tingle, told “Sydney Mornings” on Tuesday that Neill had been “pretty sick” in recent weeks and that cancer treatments had left him “exhausted.”

A lot of medications/chemicals harm people so severely that they have no energy and stay in bed. It's more than a challenge to get up frequently and function routinely. Just saying because Ive seen it a hundred times where someone needs to get off the junk that is sapping energy and helped for a time to drink plenty of water with electrolytes, eat whole foods, go #2 (3Xdaily), walk outside in direct sunshine, get fresh air, and love.
The medical option usually chosen is when someone gets sick, increase drug burden on the organs, family might visit and sign the papers for hospice, then the sedatives are overdosed. Pneumonia sets in quickly just from lying down a few days, but the cause is the overburden of toxins. Their solution is to increase toxins while maximizing profits.

This was on my mind when I got up at 8AM. Maybe because the place I work reminds me of that and I try to save lives.

I had serious Pneumonia on top of other challenges recently and realized that nobody at my location bothered to lift a finger to help.
However, the grace of God has been with me. I had the Lord's direction and had to follow that to recover.
The way I help others is through education like the previous paragraphs and personal Health Consultations. I don't know the details outside the comment of Sam Neill's article, but have seen the pattern for decades. He may have had the best of care, but serving the Lord in a region of over a dozen end of life institutions, I hope to share what I see that actually works even though it's not the standard of care in those corporations.

Be well and God bless you and yours
