There is a simple way to recognize the devil when we see him on earth, but allow me a bit of housekeeping before we get into that. As it is written, no one knows the day or the hour or the time or the seasons when this flesh age will come to a screeching halt, including me. That is said for the scripture lawyers who like to diminish anything anyone else has to say about the Holy Bible. Sadly, there is professional jealousy among the clergy and the so-called Bible scholars. Fortunately, I’m neither of those, just a humble servant trying to do the will of our Heavenly Father. That said, the Bible identifies our generation as the final generation of mankind in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to: Prophecy, Time and Current Events.
There is no doubt in your servant’s mind that we are fast approaching the time appointed. Time appointed? Yes, our Heavenly Father has determined the times before appointed for all aspects of this earth age, the flesh age. As He told His beloved prophet Daniel, for at the time appointed the end shall be. There is a time appointed for the end to come, and when we start looking at current events (Arab Spring or a Pandemic, for instance), and time and prophecy from the Bible, I think you will agree the time is now for this age to end. Of course, you may be stubborn and want to listen to old sages like Yogi Berra, who said, “It ain’t over till it’s over!” I prefer to listen to the Byrds, an old 1960’s rock & roll group, who sang:
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecclesiastes 3.1
The point is, our Heavenly Father determined when this flesh age was to end before it ever began. Naturally, we are not to know that date. Why not? There are a variety of reasons, but mainly because the end is determined to be a surprise on mankind. What if the Bible had a verse stating, “The world will end in 2092.” Can you imagine the sheer panic, and increased faith, of those living in 2091? What if we lived in 1790? Many would not care, thinking the end of the world is still 200 years away.
Let me also state that there have been doomsday nuts in every generation. In the 30’s & 40’s they walked up and down Madison Ave. with a placard on their back stating, “The end is near!” More recently we have had theologians stating the end is coming on such and such a date, and then nothing happened. Or we have had the Y2K scare or the Mayan calendar countdown. The Holy Bible is the only source for any truth on this subject and the best it tells us is the generation when the end is to come; our generation. Again, the point is, our lives, our civilizations, this world, is on a countdown to the end, and our Heavenly Father is the Timekeeper.

Matthew 24:29-42 indicate the return of Christ occurs "after the tribulation of those days." and that it'll coincide with one being taken and another left behind - conceptually known as the rapture. It is unclear to me if being taken or left behind is a good or a bad thing in the context of its parallels to Noah's Ark and the flood, but verses 38-40 seem to draw comparison between between being swept away in a flood and killed to the return of Christ. I can only conclude the rapture is actually a cleansing of the earth of the unrighteous.

What I would pay particularly close attention to is the rebuilding of a temple in Israel. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 says a third temple will be built and that's where the "man of lawlessness" or anti-Christ will proclaim to be God. The appearance of the anti-Christ is presumably the beginning of the tribulation, Rev 13:5-8

So I don't know. Yeah there's earthquakes, plagues, famine, wars & rumors of wars but the tell-tale sign that makes it crystal clear will be when a third temple is seriously discussed being built. Just my two cents.

The man of sin Will be reign from the temple, It may in the second half of 7 years great tribulation. So the temple may build in the first half of the great tribulation. It may take 3 years to build the temple

There is a simple way to recognize the devil when we see him on earth...
When the devil and his angels are cast down to earth, the Church will be in Heaven. So we will not *see him on earth*. See Revelation 12 and 13.

Yes, world events are clearly leading to the end of the age. But we are not there as yet. What we are seeing is the fulfillment of the first five seals of Revelation. The 6th and 7th seal events are yet to come. "Pestilences" are mentioned by Christ, and they include infectious diseases.

However the primary focus of Christians at this time should be (a) the effective propagation of the TRUE Gospel, (b) the edification and discipling of the saints, and (c) outreach to those without Christ through both material and spiritual aid and assistance. At the same time (d) there are thousands of very needy Christians who need the help of those with the means to help them. Therefore our focus should definitely not be on end-time events.

If you knew my MiL you'd know it isn't a matter of satan is coming, but that he's already arrived and likes to cross dress from time to time.

In all seriousness though, I'd wonder why God didn't destroy an enemy that thought to destroy him first? And an enemy that was an ingrate having no respect for its maker at that.
This being the state of things currently, why then is that enemy not only let to exist after that failed attempt, but is also sent here to try to destroy the creation of the creator he tried to destroy first.
Satan is coming. Satan is here. Satan is the adversary of God but his powers are limited by God. Which means God controls his own enemy, that is also our own.

Why satan? If everything brings glory to God why is satan here?

Satan is just an animal. Man was not supposed to listen to the animals. Man was given authority over the animals, but the dragon tricked the woman with his three lies, and the man disobeyed God by listening to the woman. Thus the wisdom of the men of God when they said "resist the Devil and he shall flee."

Wishful thinking!

The Lord Jesus stated that only false prophets/teachers taught a secret pre-tribulation coming, He said that He'll come in great power and glory AFTER the great tribulation (to destroy the wicked and take His people home), every eye seeing Him! Matt 24v23-31,48, 2Thess 1v7-10, 2v1-4,8, Titus 2v13, Rev 1v7...

Arent satan's angels already in the ABYSS waiting for judgment? Not in heaven nor earth?

Jude 1:6
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

2 Peter 2:4
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

That is not the abyss (also called the bottomless pit) but Tartarus (a prison for angels). There are actually several groups of evil angels noted in the Bible.

1. Those in Tartarus -- chained from the time of Noah's Flood and not to be released
2. Those in the bottomless pit -- demonic creatures to be released later (Rev 9)
3. Those who are presently free in the atmosphere-- the hierarchies occupying "the air" and engaged in spiritual warfare (Eph 6)
4. Those who are demons -- taking possession of men and creatures on earth (probably the elemental spirits, and those pretending to be ghosts as well as false gods)

What we see in Revelation 12 is that Satan -- the prince of the power of the air -- and all the free angels are cast down to earth. There are no evil angels in God's Heaven, since they were all cast out when Lucifer rebelled. Nothing unclean enters or remains in Heaven.

Ephesians indicates just where the devil and his kind are

and if the devil walked in the garden, in the form of the serpent which apparently had legs at that time, then he was already on the earth

nothing worse than someone who claims to be something and then goes about indicating he does not understand what has been written and thinks we all need another explanation

I doubt most people will ask for the website, but then you can fool some of the people some of the time :cautious:

Jesus is not coming as soon as you think

read Revelation. alot still to happen

Again you are mistaken! Job chapter 1 & 2

Rev 12v7-12 (with Dan 12v1) has not occurred yet, and so is still future.

You obviously haven't taken our Lord's warning in Rev 22v18,19 seriously about adding to or taking away from the The Revelation of Jesus Christ by adding a pre-tribulation advent and rapture which isn't there!

Paul delivered Hymenaeus, Philetus and Alexander over to Satan for execution because they taught wrong doctrine on the Second Coming of Christ and overthrew the faith of a number of Christians; do you think that the Lord Jesus is going to feel any different with you when, by teaching a secret pre-tribulation advent and rapture which will have the same effect of overthrowing the faith of Christians during the Great Tribulation? 1Tim 1v19,20, 2Tim 2v17,18.

No I am not mistaken at all. The heaven mentioned in Job is probably outer space (or it could be the atmospheric heaven, since Satan is "the prince of the power of the air", not the third Heaven.

And proper interpretation does NOT mean "adding to" but comprehending the totality of revelation. There are no evil angels or rebels in the third heaven.

You got that right Runningman.
Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
There must be a new temple on the temple mount before the Aitichrist can sit in the temple and declare himself to be God.

That word "probably" you used when trying to come up with a good reason why you are right tells me that you are not even sure of what you are saying. Otherwise you wouldn't have used the word "probably"

Yes you are mistaken. You said " That word "probably" you used when trying to come up with a good reason why you are right tells me that you are not even sure of what you are saying. Otherwise you wouldn't have used the word "probably"
Here's the reason for "probably". There are three heavens according to Scripture: (1) the atmospheric heaven (which is also the abode of evil angels), (2) outer space (which is accessible to both evil and holy angels, and (3) God's Heaven (which is the dwelling place of holy angels exclusively).

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. (Job 1:6)

"The sons of God" in this context applies to angels. It would appear that since the holy angels are always around the throne of God, this is a reference to evil angels. We are not told where they presented themselves to God, but we know for a fact that it would not be in God's Heaven. Therefore PROBABLY in the second heaven.
