iam starting my fourth year at the university. am 21yrs.never really had a boyfriend. however all my life, ive had good guy friends around me so i never really felt lonely as such. my friends were always there to give me the company that i always needed. i am the only girl at home and ive always lived with my 4 brothers who have also been nice to me all the way. my dad has been and stil is the best man ive ever known. he has loved me all through.
am scared for myself because i am not interested in having a boyfriend and i dont even feel that vacuum within me. it does not even bother me at all. that makes me think alot most of the time. my brothers keep telling me am not normal but i feel normal. recently i indirectly talked to some old guys in church and their answer was that i am just not serious.
i feel normal but am i really normal?????.

I seriously see nothing wrong with the fact that you don't have a boyfriend. I've liked some guys..but have never been in an actual relationship as of yet..but I'm ok with it.. You're totally normal.. it's weird how people usually seem so shocked when I mention the fact I have not had a boyfriend yet or my first kiss. But you know what? their opinions don't matter.. Only mine does.. I think you shouldn't care what your brothers or other people think. If you're fine with not having a boyfriend right now..and you don't see the need for one..that's cool. I think you'll feel differently though when God brings the right man into your life..and maybe that's how it's supposed to be? but don't stress about not having a significant other..because you will one day.. Just know..you're not the only one :)

God Bless..

Hi

I think it is really awesome & honorable of you to have healthy friendship with the opp. Sex. Regards to boyfriend relationship, why not learn to trust God in this area and focus on your studies first. At the same time, develop strong godly friendship with girls as well. Psalms 37:4 says that 'delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desire of your heart. I believe God in His perfect timing would bring a godly guy to your life.

This is also what I encourage my three daughters as well. Seek first His Kingdom and all these shall be added unto you.

Don't be scared.

I give you words from Jesus' own mouth. Matthew 19:11 For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven's sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it." There aren't too many types of people that are specifically identified by Jesus, but you are one of them. I would say that's the definition of normal. Now are you the majority? No. You don't have to be like other women. Hey, some women go their whole lives looking for someone and never find him. Consider yourself blessed. He goes on to suggest that for these people, it is better for them to not marry. So don't let people pressure you into some ideology that simply isn't true--that all women must have a man. Be encouraged.

I'm interested to know what is meant by they thought you were "just not serious." That sounds like a childish thing to say given the Scripture that directly applies to the situation.
As Jesus would say, "Don't be scared." God's word has a way of putting us at peace. If you don't find that from those old guys at church then there's probably something wrong.

Don't be discouraged, you have your whole life ahead of you. 21 is very young. I'm 19 and have had a couple boyfriends, which was an experience I don't regret, but learned I am still young and need to focus on my current goals in life before I ever become serious with a boy. Just be confident and love yourself and one day the right guy will come along. :)

In response to this I say: You don't need to ever have a man because Jesus said some people are made to be that way. You don't need to go with the flow. You're still normal without a man or the desire for one. I believe you are perfectly able to be happy without one.

Yes, it actually exists...

I live in Austin Tx. I have listened to the same radio show for many years since I was young. What drew me to the show in the first place was that the host of the show; Dale; was a Christian. Over the years I have listened I have heard him draw further and further away from Christ.

It has gotten to the point that his partner; Bob, who is a Christian also; is apparently also starting to follow in the same direction. Last week I heard him issue a challenge to God. He said if he did not recieve 1000 calls on the show from christians supporting him and his call to Christ by this Friday; that he would take that as a sign that God Did Not Exist!!

Today he was saying that as of his challenge to God last week he still has not recieved ONE phone call in support of him following christ. He said that by Friday he would Know that there was NO GOD. Please do not let this happen. Please call him tomorrow and up till Friday as much as you can. It is a morning show for KLBJ from 6 am - 10 am. Their number is 512 973 8300 and 512 390 5525. They are both numbers to the show. Please call and pledge your support to him in his cause for Jesus. I will be calling everyday until Friday and maybe even past if the Lord needs. Please let us pull together as Christians for Christ!
