School - Prayer Request.

I'm homeschooled. But, not the normal type of schooling at home.. It's a "do it yourself" type curriculum, and so the people here don't check it or make sure it's done. I am terrified doing it on my own, I'm a year ahead, and I don't know if I'm going to be able to get my GED this year, which is my ultimate goal. I would love prayer for this, I need to trust in God. I also need to not get depressed, and actually DO it. And get it done.. I just get discouraged not having people care for my education. But it's just a matter of getting it done.. and trusting in God.
 
Hang in there morgan:) you will get it done, you just got to believe in god and trust in him:) don't ever give up on god becuase he ever gave up on you and rely on him becuase he got plans for you:) he will guide you through this and even though you might be helpless, he is always there for you even through your darkest times when you think he is not there:) i am homeschooled too and you are not alone, i am a 1 or 2 grades up on my math and it is really hard but i know that god is helping me everyday with my homeschool:) and with depression, you just got to think that god made you for a reason, that god has plans for you and don't forget that, and think about it. every day is a blessing from god, thank him for another day:) god bless you and i am thinking and praying for you:) amen
 
I think they care more than you know. They are teaching you to care about learning. I'm a college teacher, and that is probably the most important lesson of all - teaching you to learn. You're a year ahead. Can you make it two by the time you are 19? College will let you, you know. But the professors won't care if you learn, either; they'll just give you an F if you don't care. But if you can learn to care, and show it, you can write your own ticket for your whole life, and be a success in whatever you choose. Have you given any thought to what you want to study for a career?

Do your studies, and I encourage you to put the word of God above all else, and be sure you are in a healthy church that preaches repentance and faith proven by deeds, where the sin stops, as you come before God broken and purged of all sin.

The LORD takes pleasure in those that fear him!​
Psa 147:11 The LORD takes pleasure in those that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.​
The fear of the Lord is downplayed in Christian circles today, and many will take offense when you tell them to repent, stop sinning, and seek the mercy of God through fear, respect, awe, and reverence of His awesome power over sin, temptation and the devil!
Now this fear can be taken in and out of context:

So in one way the fear of the Lord causes the broken soul to fall on their face before His majesty, in humble repentance, a real and genuine repentance that cannot be faked or mistaken for the weak confess and believe message being sold by the truck loads throughout the apostate system of lies!
The Lord takes pleasure in those who humbly fear Him, and His great power to send them into perdition unless they respect this fear, which is not the fear of a daunting parent who scolds their wayward child one minute, than overlooks their continued disobedience.
The fear of God doesn’t wink at sin and disobedience! It causes a true repentant soul to tremble at His awe and power, never take His mercy and grace in vain, by assuming He overlooks sin and disobedience.
His mercy and grace is selective and only goes out to the one who has forsaken their evil ways and thoughts, and have come to the mercy seat, not taking this mercy for granted.
To fear God is to love God, and never assume anything from Him, as we deny ungodliness and worldly lusts of the flesh, then live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age!
Psa 33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

Well, they said that I didn't have to do all of it. Just enough to pass, that isn't caring to me. lol
And my plan is to get my GED, go to a Cosmetology school for 2 years. And have that skill at 18.
Work, have enough money to get through 2 years of community college, and then transfer over to a regular college. :) So that is my plan.. just have to trust God .
 
Well, then that's a shame. But here's a secret: God cares more than they do, because He's motivating you to talk about it here. Do you know what you want from college? If you do the cosmetology school, and get a business going (or a chair at a salon), you can start college part time almost immediately. Here's a trick: if you keep your math (including algebra) and English writing/reading skills up, it will get you high placement test scores, and save you almost a year in Community college. That's because they get many students who took a couple years off of school, and forgot those things, so they make you learn it over, and that takes time and tuition money. Take these learning skills God is teaching you now, and apply them to that while you are studying cosmetology; it's worth it.
 
I pray God's blessing upon your schooling and that He would give you His wisdom and knowledge as you do your studies.

I was in a similar situation a long time ago, around ages 7-11. Home schooled. I was never motivated... Instead, I was always outside playing and getting into trouble. But as time went by, I started fearing for my education. I felt like everyone was surpassing me and I was being left in the dust. I started praying about it, and about a year or two later my family and I moved to South America, to Chile. SO! after a few months in the country, my parents enrolled me in Chile's public school system. Keep in mind, I didn't know a single word of Spanish. But guess what? I learned. In addition to the general education, God threw in a foreign language!! and friends to boot!! Everything I asked for plus some.


God is so so so so so so so sooooooooooo Good! He's going to answer you I know it :) I'll be praying.
