Still too early to call. most populated areas have not posted counts yet.. so it can still go ether way
 
Scotland will stay. So after, can England have a referendum to give Scotland the boot? hehe

Well yes, we cannot be certain. But I saw this list, like a table of areas of Scotland rated on how strongly they supported the Scottish Nationalist Party (approx name from memory) in previous election. Those 2 areas reporting first (as rejecting secession) were extremely strong Scottish nationalist party areas. So I figure if the secession won't pass there, the cause is lost. I guess it is like polling Plains Georgia and finding that Jimmy Carter loses there.

Of course the 16 & 17 year olds didn't vote in the previous election.

But IMHO, "Turn out the lights, the party's over." Except that running this referendum may well fuel future discord, the us vs. them feeling.
 
So many Americans happy over this.

I hope to see you at the next 4th of July, in black, mourning for the loss of the British control of the colonies. Flying the union Jack. Post photos please.
 
I wonder why people not living in Scotland have so strong opinions on this

anyway, although not all votes have been counted, the "NO" side leads enough to know they won

Now remains to be seen if all the promises are kept

Honestly, I've been wondering the same thing. Nobody has really been able to provide ANY answer as to how this would have affect those living outside of Scotland.
 
It's all done and dusted now but there is still some bad feeling about all this. Time to reconcile I think.
 
Even though NO won. (and only won by about 400k votes) It does show many are not happy with the current state. I think it is a wake up call for London that the people of Scotland ain't all that happy.

End result, I think Scotland will gain more control over the say of things in Scotland.

Is that line about "knavish tricks" actually in the anthem? ROFL.

Now "save the Queen" seems ever fulfilled.
Once a woman gets the crown, she just won't die (nor step down) & let her son have a go for a while.
QE II may outlive Charles.
