I'm opening this thread to point out and discuss a specific Bible Scripture (Ezekiel 40:1), identifying that 573 BC - 572 BC was a Jubilee year. It is hidden in plain sight if we think about what Ezekiel is identifying. Know that from the fall of 573BC to the Fall of 572 BC was a Jubilee year. We can count forward and backward, uncovering amazing discoveries, but it will take multiple posts to present the findings, so please bear with me. The first discovery is that the year AD 28 - 29, and therefore based on 50-year Jubilee counts, the year 2028 - 2029 will be a Jubilee year based on God's Calendar count. But not just any Jubilee, but the end of his 120th Jubilee. Some will already be dismissing this based on the 49 versus 50 years debate. But let's be Bereans, with an open mind to see and hear what God was revealing through his prophet Ezekiel. There are other scriptures to support this, which I will identify as we build the overall Calendar case. Let's not start chasing red herring debates of dismissal in this thread until you consider all I will show you, slightly hidden in scripture. It is the sum of the information that makes this compelling.
First, let's look at what Ezekiel was identifying in Ezekiel 40:1 (in my next post), then I will show what other scriptures say about the year AD 28-29 (the 80th Jubilee = 4,000 years), identifying it as the end of the age of Torah or Law.

Jubilee Years
It is the common belief that God's count of Jubilees is lost, but it is not, as God provides a very precise marker from which we can work. It is not hidden but in plain sight if we simply think about what is being said. Another common belief is that the Jubilee year only pertains to when the Israelites are in the promised land, but no script supports this, and the Israelites were keeping track of the Jubilee year, even when they were in Babylonian captivity and not in the promised land, as the prophet Ezekiel attests. Looking at Ezekiel 40:1 (NKJV), we find the following

Eze 40:1
In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was captured,

Look carefully at the red bold information and think about the defining period of a Jubilee year in scripture. Many think the Jubilee Year is from the Feast of Trumpets at the beginning of the 50th year, lasting until the Feast of Trumps at the end of the 50th year, but this is incorrect. The Jewish civil calendar begins and ends the typical Jewish year on the Feast of Trumpets every year, except for the 50th year of Jubilee. The 50th Jubilee is the only year in which it is prescribed; the new year shall begin on the 10th of the month (Day of Atonement) and end the following year on the Feast of Trumpets. In this scripture, Ezekiel states that a year begins on the 10th of the month, which only occurs at the beginning of a Jubilee Year. It could be surmised that Ezekiel was only speaking in general terms, referring to the early part of the month. However, in Hebrew, the word used for ‘beginning’ was (Hebrew word #7218) Rosh, meaning "head," as in "Head of the year." Ezekiel was not speaking in general terms, but he was stating that it was the first day of the New Year specifically, and it was occurring on the 10th of the month, which only occurs at the beginning of a Jubilee year.

Based on the other information Ezekiel provided along with historical records regarding the Babylonian sieges of Jerusalem, we can determine the BC date of this Jubilee year and count the Jubilees forward and backwards from this Ezekiel Jubilee date, which will provide a clearer understanding of the exact dates of the events in Genesis through to the Israelites' entrance into the promised land. I use the word exact, but the exactness is based on historical accuracy regarding the fall of Jerusalem and the captivity.

Based on the most accepted historical information, recorded on the Babylonian Chronicle (presently in a Museum in England), the 25th year of captivity and 14th year after the city was captured was 573 BC. The Jubilee year that Ezekiel indicated would have commenced in the fall of 573 BC and lasted until the fall of 572 BC. Below is a table that depicts the counts of 25 years from 597 BC, the captivity beginning, and 14 years from 586 BC, the final city siege. This is the best information we have historically, but we should be aware that historians could have dates off by a year or two. I don't believe historians are wrong with the dates, for other alignment reasons, which I will present in a moment. But I do use the word 'exact' with a slight bit of historical accuracy caution. But other scriptural information I will post soon, points to the probable accuracy of Historian dating

The debate - Is a Jubilee period counted as 49 or 50 years
Before we start counting forward or backward, we should address the common controversy of whether the Jubilee count is 49 yrs or 50 yrs. I had oscillated on this for many years until learning that the Dead Sea Scrolls indicated it was 50 years noted by author Josh Peck in his book, 'The Lost Prophecies of Qumran, where Josh outlines the findings of God's Calendar of counting in 50-year increments, similar to how we count in 100 year Centuries, except God counts in half-centuries (50 years), calling them Jubilee periods. Josh's writings are based on the Dead Sea Scrolls work of Dr. Ken Johnson. The findings within the Dead Sea Scrolls indicate that God's Jubilee period count, is 50 years.

Here is a cut/paste of who Dr. Ken Johnson is: "Ken Johnson, Th.D., is an author and researcher known for analyzing Dead Sea Scroll fragments, particularly focusing on their implications for biblical prophecy, the Essene community, and the 364-day solar calendar. His work is primarily published through independent avenues, and he is a frequent speaker on platforms like Prophecy Watchers."

Dr. Johnson wrote the foreword to Josh's book, and Josh references Dr. Johnson extensively throughout the book, linking Josh's material basis to the findings of Dr. Ken Johnson's professional research on the actual contents of the Dead Sea Scrolls

Josh Peck writes, "Dr. Johnson concludes that this proves that the Ethiopic version of the Book of Jubilees was corrupted when it was translated from Hebrew into Ge’ez. He also states this comparison proves a biblical jubilee period is, and the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” fifty years rather than forty-nine." Peck, Josh. The Lost Prophecies of Qumran: 2025 and the Final Age of Man (p. 90). Kindle Edition.

The 50-year Jubilee count did not just pertain to when Israel was in the promised land, but God's Jubilee calendar existed all the way back to Genesis, beginning with the fall of Mankind via God's scriptural statement, he will only contend with Mankind for 120 periods of 50-year Jubilees, equaling 6,000 years. We should not be quick to dismiss this, as I will eventually demonstrate God's count of 120 jubilee periods began in 3973 BC (when Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden), and ends in AD 2028, and in doing so, it puts the 80th Jubilee in AD 28-29, exactly 80 Jubilees or 4,000 years later. I have an Excel count that shows this in detail, but it is to difficult to post, so I will demonstrate the forward count with a few lines

3973 - 3972 BC - Adam and Eve expelled from Eden (later, I will verify this using the AM (Anno Mundi) year count provided in Genesis that leads to the Exodus in 1414 BC. You see, we can now align AM years of events in Genesis to how we think in BC / AD years with amazing results, but later, have a little faith for now.

573 - 572 BC - the Jubilee year identified by Ezekiel 40:1

23 - 22 BC - we are following a consisted 50 year count, so a Jubilee year will always fall on a 73 - 72, or 23 - 22 year during the BC period, but that number sequence will change as we pass over into AD, and add 50 years to 23 and 22 BC (recognizing there is no year 0)

AD 28 - 29 - These are the Jubilee dates when we add 50 years to 23 BC and 22 BC, with no year 0. During AD, the Jubilee count will always fall on a 28 -29 or a 78 - 79 year date period.

This is a start to understanding the 120 Jubilees that God indicates as how long he will contend with man, so you can form your own table counting forward from the AM years provided in Genesis. For those who don't have the time, I will provide help with this a bit later. Before we do, we need to look more closely at the Jubilee year of AD 28 - 29 and its significance.

Jubilee year AD 28-29 is the end of the age of Torah (Law) per scripture. The next 81st Jubilee period of 50 yrs is called a Transition Jubilee period

Josh Peck and Dr. Ken Johnson highlight that the Book of Jubilees does speak of 4 ages:
The 'Age of Chaos,
The Age of Torah or Law,
The Age of Forgiveness or Grace, and
The 1,000-year reign on earth,
with each age separated by what they refer to as a 50-year transitional Jubilee period that follows the end of the previous age. This means that periods between the 40th and 41st Jubilee, the period between the 80th and 81st Jubilee, and the coming period between the 120th and 121st Jubilee are designated periods of transition from one age to the next age.

If AD 28 -29 was the 80th Jubilee, we might want to find scriptural evidence of it being the end of the Age of Law or Torah and we find that in Luke 16:16, which I will address in a second. First Let's look at what transpired after the 80th Jubilee year began, and the events of the next 50-year Transitional Jubilee period

We begin on the Day of Atonement, the holiest day of the Jewish year, in AD 28 when they congregated at the Synagogue. Jesus was invited to do the Torah reading and handed the scroll from the Book of Isaiah. Jesus found the most pertinent aspect of Isaiah's writings for the auspicious occasion of the beginning of a Jubilee year. In his readings of Isaiah 61:1, he not only declared it the beginning of a Jubilee year but chose to do it through the prophetic writings of Isaiah 61:1-3, leaving off the final aspect of God's Wrath, and declaring he was the fulfillment of what he had just read. He was declaring it the start of the Jubilee year, by his reading choice, along with his open declaration of who he was.

Luke 4:16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Jesus knew that the beginning of this Jubilee year was about much more than another Jubilee year; it was the beginning of a Jubilee transition period. It was a period ending the Age of Law, and he states this in Luke 16:16

Luke 16:16 “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time, the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it. 17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail.

When Jesus said the law and the prophets were until John, he is stating that the age of the law were until John, because he is speaking in the past tense. He goes on to say, but not one tittle of the law is finished. These are contradictory aspects about the law within the same statement, until we recognize that Jesus is not saying the law has passed away (in comparative reference to the earth), but the age of the law is complete. Note the Hebrew word used for fail is 'Pipto', meaning to perish (end). God's law has not ended; only the age of the law has ended. Jesus provided a scriptural marker that the Age of Law was ending with this 80th Jubilee year, right on schedule with 2,000-year ages. We know it was AD 28, as it was the year Jesus began his ministry per Luke 3:3

Luke 3:3 Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, …..23 Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age,....................... Tiberius, the second Roman emperor, reigned from AD 14 to 37…...................

From Britannica: Tiberius (born November 16, 42 bce—died March 16, 37 ce, Capreae [Capri], near Naples) was the second Roman emperor (14–37 ce),

Reign Yr123456789101112131415Reign Yr
Over the next 50 years of Jubilee transition (AD 28 - AD 78), we find:
The establishment of the foundations of Christianity, via the establishment of his discipleship, to carry forward the good news,
The fulfillment of the prophecies of the Messiah, mankind's salvation by grace via his crucifixion (introducing a new Age of Grace),
The replacement of prophets with God's more direct and perfect communicating tool, the Holy Spirit,
The elimination in AD 70 of the Jewish temple and animal sacrifice with it, and finally
The dispersion of the Jewish people for not recognizing the time of his coming.

In the next 50-year Jubilee transition period beginning in the fall of 2028, until 2078, we should expect:
The gathering of his faithful church,
The fulfilment of God's time of Wrath,
The fulfillment of Daniel's 70th week prophecy, including Jesus's 2nd coming,
The wedding feast,
The redistribution of lands to the 12 tribes of Israel, and
The establishment of the millennial temple, found at the end of the Book of Ezekiel.

This is all I have time to post today, but I will delve into backtracking into the years before 732 BC and how they provide support for this AD 28 - 29 year, being the 80th Jubilee, and subsequently the 120th Jubilee year of 2028 - 29

Have you seen Benjamin Baruchs break down of the Jubilee years?

No, I haven't. You might wish to enlighten me. I'm always open-minded to other views, but I put more credence on that which has some scriptural support to it.

Being up front with you, I'm not educated enough in the necessary aspects of this topic. But what i do have is a good discernment of someone who does.

The understandings of the feast days, Jubilee years, signs in the heavens, all of it is a lifetimes worth of studies. My campsite is on Faith and how it's applied correctly.

This Benjamin Baruch is a hard pill to swallow. I've listened to most of his podcasts on YouTube. His understanding of the above mentioned aspects are stellar, but he has been predicting the "day of the Lord" for the last 3 Octobers. He uses a 50 year cycle in his calculations.

Now the hard part. In his testimony, he claims to have been hearing Gods voice for most of his life, and he's not afraid to talk about it. He also got peoples attention when he had a fairly precise dream and vision about united airlines flying into buildings in the middle of 2011.

So I don't know what your qualifications are on this subject, but if it's something your passionate about, maybe you could check him out.

I'm really picky on who I lend an ear to as far as teachers, I've only known one and he set a high bar. I think he would be worth looking at if I were you. But being able to look past the messenger to the message is recommended for Benjamin.

Good Discernment is the main key to being a Berean. With all the information being posted, it is more important than ever. Some of the things you mentioned about Benjamin Baruch are red flags to me. But I feel well-grounded in Scriptural knowledge that I am willing to listen to what others have to say. I never know where I will learn something from, so I will look into it.
I don't have a theological schooling, but have relied on the Holy Spirit to guide me over 40 years of Scriptural study and discerning outside readings. I have authored a book on other aspects of Prophecy, in an effort to correct some errors that originated with early church writings and have become traditional End-Times beliefs. It is an effort to cut through traditional understandings, showing what is slightly hidden in Scriptures, when we look closely, providing a Fresh End-Times perspective. What I present was vetted by several theologically schooled scholars at my request. It was published by a reputable Christian Publisher, after they had it thoroughly vetted for any potential discrepancies with Scripture. I am only mentioning this as I am very careful with what I present, never wanting to mislead fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. What I am presenting here is not in my book. I don't think I am absolutely right or perfect in my scriptural perceptions, and I'm always seeking to be critiqued in a respectfully debatable manner.
I am seeking to be critiqued, in what I am presenting here, by other Christians. This is how we help each other grow in our faith. For other readers, I would recommend researching the premise as best you can and coming to your own conclusion. I want us all to be good Bereans.
I will be posting more info on this subject shortly, which will show how the event years of Genesis in 'BC' years, align with Ezekiel's 573 - 572 BC count of 50-year Jubilee periods. I suspect this will give you a clearer picture of how my premise from creation until the 120th Jubilee year of Ad 2028 - 2029.

Genesis events in BC year count

Based on Ezekiel’s 40:1 scripture (and historical information) identifying 573 – 572 BC as a Jubilee year, we can backdate the Genesis Anno Mundi (from Creation) given years into a more understandable ‘BC’ format using God’s Jubilee count, putting 120 Jubilee periods of 50 years each, between 3973 BC and AD 2028 as presented below. What we should notice is that dating back via the Anno Modi years given in Genesis leads to 3981 BC, but God’s Jubilee count of contention with Mankind begins in 3973 BC, leaving an 8-year difference. The Book of Jubilee provides the explanation of the 8 yr differential with the following statement that Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden 7 years and 4 months after creation.

17. And after the completion of the seven years, which he had completed there, seven years exactly, and in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the serpent came and approached the woman, and the serpent said to the woman,……………………. 32. And on the new moon of the fourth month, Adam and his wife went forth from the Garden of Eden, Johnson, Ken. Ancient Book of Jubilees (p. 20 - 22). Biblefacts Ministries.

3981 BC Date of Creation of Adam

3973 – 3972 BC 7 yr – 4 month Adam/Eve expelled from Edan (begin 6,000 yrs God will contend with man and Jubilee Count of 120 Jubilee periods)

3923 – 3922 BC End of first 50-year Jubilee Period (1st Jubilee yr)

3851 BC At age 130 (130 yrs after 3981 BC), Adam had Seth

3746 BC At age 105, Seth had Enosh

3656 BC At Age 90, Enosh has Kenan

3586 BC At age 70, Kenan has Mahalaleel

3521 BC At age 65, Mahalaleel had Jerad

3459 BC At age 62, Jerad has Enoch (Note most Bibles today indicate 162, but the Jewish Pentateuch creates a debate as to whether the correct age is 162 or 62. The book of Jubilee found with dead sea scrolls indicates 62, and that's why I use 62. It is also the age that fits this premise. Using 162 adds 2 Jubilees, putting the number of Jubilees through the year AD 2028-29 at 162 Jubilee periods

3394 BC At age 65, Enoch had Methuselah

3207 BC At age 187, Methuselah had Lamech

3025 BC At age 182, Lamech had Noah

2523 BC At age 502, Noah had Shem

2425 BC At Noah’s age of 600 yrs, the Great Flood begins

2424 BC The Great Flood ends

2423 – 2422 Bc Is the 31st Jubilee year. Could this signify a new beginning? Interesting alignment

2423 BC At age 100, Shem has Arfaxad (2523 BC minus 100 yrs)

2388 BC At age 35, Arfaxad had Shelah

2358 BC At age 30, Shelah had Eber

2324 BC At age 34, Eber had Peleg

2294 BC At age 30, Peleg had Reu

2262 BC At age 32, Reu had Serug

2232 BC At age 30, Serug had Nahor

2203 BC At age 29, Nahor has Terah

2133 BC At age 70, Terah had Abram (Abraham later, when God changed his name)

2033 BC At age 100, Abram (Abraham) had Isaac

1973 – 1972 BC This is the 40th Jubilee year per God’s Calendar Count, ending the first 2,000 years. This would represent the end of the Age of Chaos, and the age of Law (Torah) begins with the 50-year Jubilee transition period.

1973

I have a lot of questions for you, but I'll get acquainted with your thread first.

I do want to know what you consider a "Berean" to be theologically. I've never found a specific doctrine that I could call home. Of course ive heard of the Bereans and a little bits of info here and there about them.

And after listening to Benjamin, he sold me on a post trib rapture. A big part of that is when the final trumpet blows. What's your discernment on that?

You said something about trying to fix bad understandings about the end times. I've been trying to do the same with the mistranslation of pisteuo into the English language. Been trying for over 30 years on sites like this, not seeing a lot of minds being changed. Sometimes I think my purpose is just to prove we're in the times of 2 Tim. 4:3-4.

Your brain operates at the same level as the one gifted teacher i found in 38 years of seeking, Dr Gene Scott. He owned the largest collection of biblical manuscripts in private hands behind the Vatican. Those manuscripts are what he taught from. Some of them the dead sea scrolls. I was blessed to hear his teachings for 38 years. Have you heard of him before?

Ecc 12:12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Ecc 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

I understand people want to understand some things and go to great lengths and detail and to try to find dates and dates when something may happen.

But why especially when they spend a lot of time on it but it does not help anything, and does not benefit, and does not apply.

Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Rom 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Jesus took the physical ordinances of Israel out of the way nailing them to His cross because they were contrary to us that they had no bearing on salvation.

They have no bearing in the New Testament.

Why bother with it like it has some importance in the New Testament when Jesus took it away so it does not apply.

And why use the physical ordinances to think you can figure out a date of an event happening in the New if they do not apply anymore.

Which love is the fulfilling of the law.

Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Mar 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Some people try to figure out the date of the resurrection but Jesus said no person will know so why bother.

And no physical ordinance will figure it out.

Isa 13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
Isa 13:11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Zec 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
Zec 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Zec 14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Zec 14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Some people try to figure out the date of the day of the LORD but why worry about it for the saints are with God which is the time He punishes the world for their sins.

It does have any benefit for the saints to know the date to benefit them for they are with God.

And no Jubilee year or physical ordinance will figure it out for they no longer apply so there is no applying their time period or event to understand.

No physical ordinance is going to figure out any date or event that happens in the New because they were taken out of the way so they do not apply to be applied to anything in the New.

It is amazing that people will study something for a great length of time that does not apply anymore, they do not have to obey, and does not figure anything out in the New.

So if they are spending a great deal of time to figure something out that is a physical ordinance to apply it in the New they are doing it to find dates and events.

But it does not apply and will not figure anything out.

We are not certain just when Jesus began His ministry. Scripture does not provide a clear date for when John the Baptist was arrested, but Jesus began His ministry after that happened according to scripture. August of 28 CE is merely the earliest that John could have been arrested based on scripture, but that is quite plausibly too early, it might well have been sometime in 29.

I had posted the following regarding the scripture pointing to AD 28. The Romans were one of the best at keeping accurate records, and historians rely on them, particularly when it comes to Emporer's rule. There is much debate about when Tiberias was Caesar

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar to Dr. Scott but will look into him. My foundational teacher was Dr. Charles (Chuck) Missler, who produced videos and published books on every aspect of the Bible, which are available for free on YouTube. If you are interested, you may wish to start with his 'The Bible in 24 hrs series'. It is (24) - 1-hour videos inwhich he goes through the highlights. He has a video of almost every book of the Bible inwhich he goes through that book, Scripture by Scripture, and there are about a couple of dozen 1-hour videos for more details. Chuck's theological peers considered him the 'Einstein of Biblical knowledge". Chuck does not come across as a preacher, but like a professor leading a classroom
