During my time discussing about the bible it is amazing what topics comes up .
Therefore out of curiousity during the 1000 yr reign of Jesus Christ some said that persons will get saved during the 1000yr

Is this biblical are there scripture to support it ?

Why do many believe this ?

Where did it originate if it is a false teaching ?

Thankies to everyone

I call it something different. It is not a second change, but they were deceived before Christ return. It is that, they never had a fair chance to begin with. Because of all the lies. So in a sense, they are called the dead as Paul put it in 1 Cor 15.

Paul says that they still have mortal souls ( the new subject introduced in that chapter ). Mortal means in Greek , liable to die. When? At the second death, in the lake of fire.

Revelation 20 :

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

( those who have over come and not, accepted that deception )

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

The rest, were deceived by Satan, its why hes locked up during that time

No one can be considered alive through Christ, if they were worshiping Satan just prior to Christ return.

So in that sense , though they are at the Lords Day, they are considered dead. They live not again, ( resurrect into eternal life ) until after the end of the Lords days, and their testing at that short season, at Satan's second release . ( John 10:28 )

The first resurrection, are God's elect who will stand against Satan, and those people that came out of that babble , that take part in the first resurrection into eternal life, where by the second death has no power. They have im-mortal souls ,as Paul said.

Rev 20:

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

They are helping Christ perhaps teach those people or discipline them , showing the way.

It's not a second chance; just look around, you now, no one has a prayer of a chance, with all the confusion out there.

There will be no chanced to be saved during the 1000 yr

yes these of the second Resurrection (and) the devil are both raised after the 1000 years,so they both exist (after),,,, 20:5 οἱ "The-ones" λοιποὶ "remaindered" τῶν "of-the-ones" νεκρῶν "of-en-deaded" οὐκ "not" ἔζησαν "they-lifed-unto" ἄχρι "unto-whilst" τελεσθῇ "it-might-have-been-finished-unto" τὰ "the-ones" χίλια "thousand" ἔτη. "years." αὕτη "The-one-this" ἡ "the-one" ἀνάστασις "a-standing-up" ἡ "the-one" πρώτη. "most-before." ,,,,,so the direct wording in rev.20;5 "they lifed unto"=lived,,,,so they return from the grave and again are "alive" at the same time the devil is released from the pit and also dwells in the earth,,,,,,

please explain this in more detail

please explain this in more detail

if you click on each word in "blue" it is the Greek text from rev. 20;5 ,,,,first there is the word written in greek then beside each word is the definition,,,if you look at 20;5 and 20;7 both are in the earth at the same time "after the 1000 years",,,,,,

Rev 20:

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Keep in mind, these are called dead, during the Lords day. So they certainly are not those that took part in the first resurrection who did ,overcome through Christ ( John 10:28 ) . And the mentioning of works, here might also be important to note. Faith is not necessary, if Christ is standing before them and they were taught all things for that 1,000 years ( Rev 1:10 )

We see judgment at the end of the Lords Day. If the second death has no power, on those who took part in the first resurrection overcoming Satan.

And we have another group who were deceived, called the dead , who the second death could happen to (
John 10:28 ), That means there is a second resurrection by default if they are still around. And it states, they lived not again in verse 5

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again 'until the thousand years were finished.' This is the first resurrection.

So these things happen at that first resurrection ( the Lords day )

if there is mention of a first. After all, what are they all doing for a thousand years, and why is there a need to release Satan again ?

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

This time, its works. This what the dead take part in. It is also, and maybe reward time for righteous.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

yes every verse you quoted in description of those used the word "dead",,,,,except verse 5 of rev.20 which uses Strong's Number 2198 Greek Dictionary of the New Testament Online Bible with Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, Thayer's Lexicon, Etymology, Translations Definitions Meanings & Key Word Studies - Lexiconcordance.com ,,,,,

I looked it up . Maybe you pressed the wrong word I think ? The word you posted there ; the dictionary you used says it dose not appear in its own list for Revelation 20:5. Rev 20:5 's ''dead'' is not listed there.

This is the definition I'm getting here :

νεκρός

nekros

nek-ros'

From an apparently primary word νέκυς nekus (a corpse );
dead (literally or figuratively; also as noun): - dead.

I'm not sure I like that site too much you used. It has some good meanings, but it seemed too mixed up , like a sloppy layout .

For example, they will say, a definition is from the Strong's for a word. But when i look at the word , I notice some missing meanings.

Then what was originally in the Strong's, they have that meaning in a Thayer's or a Brown-Driver-Briggs.

I'm not sure what version of the Strong's they used, but the original Strong's had its definitions all together intact .I know some new versions put out by different publishers are omitting meanings from the definitions for some reason ( more so in online versions )..

A printed, version of the Strong's I think is good is : The Strong’s Concordance ( Large Print) - Thomas Nelson Publishing .

[h=3]Revelation 2:26-27[/h]King James Version (KJV)

26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

These nations that are rulrd with the rod of iron on the earth cannot be saved probation has clsed even though they obey God law during that time

post #10,,,,all of the scriptures you gave state the "dead",,,,,,,,,,,,(except verse 5),,,it is the verse that uses the term dead as "sleeping in the grave",,,,,,,instead of "spiritually dead",,,so the number (3498)is the same,,but if you look at the Greek in verse 12 it is spelled "Nekrous",,,in verse 5 it is,"Nekron",,,two different meanings,,,,,
